Naturopathy is a way of living
Naturopathy is a system of healing science stimulating the body's inherent power to regain health with the help of five great elements of nature – Earth,
Water, Air, Fire, and Ether. Naturopathy is a call to "Return to Nature" to simple way of living in harmony with the self, society and environment.
Naturopathy provides not only a simple practical approach to the management of diseases, but a firm theoretical basis which is applicable to all the holistic
medical care and by giving attention to the foundations of health
NATUROPATHY
INTRODUCTION
A balance between these elements helps restore our vitality and keep off
diseases. This is one of the essential building blocks of a Naturopathy treatment,
which promotes harmony between the Panchamahabhutas through proper diet,
exercise and appropriate natural therapies
Naturopathy Philosophy
Naturopathy is a holistic, drugless system of healing with the underlying
belief that the 5 elements in the universe – earth, water, air, fire and space –
that make up our bodies too, have the power to heal our systems of any
issues. Naturopathy aims to restore vitality through supporting and
stimulating the body’s own healing mechanisms by addressing an individual’s
lifestyle, genetic-predisposition or dietary imbalances.
Naturopathic physicians operate according to six core values:
Do no harm
Promote the self-healing power of nature
Remove the root cause of illness, rather than eliminating
or suppressing symptoms.
Educate and encourage self-responsibility for health
Treat the person not just the disease
Promote overall well-being to prevent diseases
Why?
WHY NATUROPATHY centre WITH MEDITAION HALL?
India is as much known for Yoga & Meditation, as it is known for its Taj Mahal
“The potential of Yoga and Spiritual tourism is quite high.” – M.D of Mumbai-based Amigo Travel Services
Yoga Tourism in India
India can be the Wellness Destination for the World
India has been a hub of knowledge of alternate medicine systems. It is estimated that AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy,
Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) is already a USD 10 billion market and is expected to grow to USD 15 billion by 2020, thanks to
increasing global awareness about alternate medicine. – Chairman of Jindal Naturecure Institute
“The facility would have a hospital offering graduate, post-graduate and research disciplines
and hostel for students and residential accommodations for staff.
Necessary staff would be appointed to this facility,” Palaniswami said.
Delving further into the facilities present in the proposed Centre, the Chief Minister said,
“Naturopathy therapies including colour therapy, massage therapy, mud therapy, herbal
therapy, magnet therapy, acupressure, acupuncture, water therapy, natural food therapy, and
yoga therapy among others, which are deemed safe treatment practices would be offered in a
natural setting.”

Hospitals, Bed Strength and Dispensaries: -
– Indoor Hospitals - About 250 with total about 10000 Beds (Naturopathy & Yoga).
– Clinics (Out-patient) (Yoga & Naturopathy) - About 300 all over India.
– Yoga Hospitals - 06
AYUSH is the acronym of the medical systems that are being practiced in India such as
Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. These systems are based on definite
medical philosophies and represent a way of healthy living with established concepts on prevention of
diseases and promotion of health. The basic approach of all these systems on health, disease and
treatment are holistic because of this, there is a resurgence of interest on AYUSH systems. Yoga has
now become the icon of global health and many countries have started integrating it in their health
care delivery system.
INITIATIVE FROM THE GOVERNMENT
“The Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy was established as
Registered Society on 30th March, 1978 with the Union Minister of Health & Family
Welfare as President of Governing Body. It is functioning as an autonomous
organization under the newly created Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India and fully funded
by the Ministry for all its activities. Since inception, the Council is involved in various
activities related to the development of these systems in terms of Research, Education,
Training and Propagation.”

  • 1. CETIKALAI NATUROPATHY CENTRE SANDHYA ADITYA ACADEMY OF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN 1AN15AT025 Semester 10
  • 2. Naturopathy is a way of living Naturopathy is a system of healing science stimulating the body's inherent power to regain health with the help of five great elements of nature – Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Ether. Naturopathy is a call to "Return to Nature" to simple way of living in harmony with the self, society and environment. Naturopathy provides not only a simple practical approach to the management of diseases, but a firm theoretical basis which is applicable to all the holistic medical care and by giving attention to the foundations of health NATUROPATHY INTRODUCTION
  • 3. A balance between these elements helps restore our vitality and keep off diseases. This is one of the essential building blocks of a Naturopathy treatment, which promotes harmony between the Panchamahabhutas through proper diet, exercise and appropriate natural therapies Naturopathy Philosophy Naturopathy is a holistic, drugless system of healing with the underlying belief that the 5 elements in the universe – earth, water, air, fire and space – that make up our bodies too, have the power to heal our systems of any issues. Naturopathy aims to restore vitality through supporting and stimulating the body’s own healing mechanisms by addressing an individual’s lifestyle, genetic-predisposition or dietary imbalances. Naturopathic physicians operate according to six core values: Do no harm Promote the self-healing power of nature Remove the root cause of illness, rather than eliminating or suppressing symptoms. Educate and encourage self-responsibility for health Treat the person not just the disease Promote overall well-being to prevent diseases
  • 4. Why? WHY NATUROPATHY centre WITH MEDITAION HALL? India is as much known for Yoga & Meditation, as it is known for its Taj Mahal “The potential of Yoga and Spiritual tourism is quite high.” – M.D of Mumbai-based Amigo Travel Services Yoga Tourism in India India can be the Wellness Destination for the World India has been a hub of knowledge of alternate medicine systems. It is estimated that AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) is already a USD 10 billion market and is expected to grow to USD 15 billion by 2020, thanks to increasing global awareness about alternate medicine. – Chairman of Jindal Naturecure Institute
  • 5. “The facility would have a hospital offering graduate, post-graduate and research disciplines and hostel for students and residential accommodations for staff. Necessary staff would be appointed to this facility,” Palaniswami said. Delving further into the facilities present in the proposed Centre, the Chief Minister said, “Naturopathy therapies including colour therapy, massage therapy, mud therapy, herbal therapy, magnet therapy, acupressure, acupuncture, water therapy, natural food therapy, and yoga therapy among others, which are deemed safe treatment practices would be offered in a natural setting.” Stanley Government Medical College Hospital Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital 25 district headquarters hospitals and 19 taluk hospitals Maternity and Children Wellness Centre in Kumbakonam Boosting infrastructure in medical colleges in Madurai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli and Salem for outpatients GLIMPSE OF PROJECT
  • 6. AYUSH Hospitals, Bed Strength and Dispensaries: - – Indoor Hospitals - About 250 with total about 10000 Beds (Naturopathy & Yoga). – Clinics (Out-patient) (Yoga & Naturopathy) - About 300 all over India. – Yoga Hospitals - 06 AYUSH is the acronym of the medical systems that are being practiced in India such as Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. These systems are based on definite medical philosophies and represent a way of healthy living with established concepts on prevention of diseases and promotion of health. The basic approach of all these systems on health, disease and treatment are holistic because of this, there is a resurgence of interest on AYUSH systems. Yoga has now become the icon of global health and many countries have started integrating it in their health care delivery system. INITIATIVE FROM THE GOVERNMENT “The Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy was established as Registered Society on 30th March, 1978 with the Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare as President of Governing Body. It is functioning as an autonomous organization under the newly created Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India and fully funded by the Ministry for all its activities. Since inception, the Council is involved in various activities related to the development of these systems in terms of Research, Education, Training and Propagation.”
