Create a side parting
roughly two to three
inches deep and split it into
two sections behind the
ear, and repeat the same
process on the other side.
Clip one section away for
smooth manoeuvring.

Move to your crown and
section it in a half circle.
Clip it away and move
back to the side section.

Open the side section and
brush it clean and smooth.
Next, take the two ends of
hair and tie it into a simple
pony tail which will get
tucked behind.

4. Looking absolutely flawless, tress to toe
— Zoe Saldana turned heads on the red
carpet at the 2015 Oscar Awards draped

Her hair was a sexy rendition of an Italian-

5. Take some sections
from the side and pin
it in the back, keeping
everything very loose.
Repeat until only a few
sections in the front
are left and leave
them unpinned

Open up the curls by
working some hair cream
gently into the hair,
texturizing the hair little by
little and achieve beautiful
volume, texture and curls.

Create a nice deep centre
part and tong the hair
outwards in sections all
over. Once done, let it
cool down and set in for
five to ten minutes before
releasing it.

Cross over a few
sections and create a
low bun at the neck
and secure with a
pin. Next, take the
sides and front
loose hair and pin
them up into the
bun, with a few

For this vintage semi updo,
start with a side parting and
section it from the crown
to roughly an inch behind
the ear.

up to down in 3 to 4
sections and clip it away.
Roll the remaining
section of hair over your
thumb and pin it up.
By this time the top
section of your hair
would have cooled
down. Remove the
clips from the tonged
hair and brush it
out neatly.
