5. May Memory Verse
Exodus 20:12 NIV
12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may
live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.”
6. TWO PATHS STORY
MATTHEW 7:13-14
DEATH
LIFE
Galatians 5:19-21
Galatians 5:22-23
Psalms 51:5
Romans 3:23
John 3:1-7
Mark 1:14-15
I Corinthians 15:1-8
Romans 10:9-13
Where are you?
Where do you want to be?
7. Two Paths, Death or Life?
Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV
The Narrow Way
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and
broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there
are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate
and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are
few who find it.”
8. The Path to Death.
We have all sinned.
Psalm 51:5 NKJV
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
Romans 3:23 NKJV
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
9. The Path to Death.
The works of the flesh.
Galatians 5:19-21 NKJV
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are:
adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry,
sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath,
selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders,
drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you
beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those
who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
10. To the Path to Life.
“Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Mark 1:14-15 NKJV
14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to
Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of
God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
11. To the Path to Life.
The Risen Christ, Faith’s Reality.
1 Corinthians 15:1-2 NKJV
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I
preached to you, which also you received and in which
you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold
fast that word which I preached to you—unless you
believed in vain.
12. To the Path to Life.
The Risen Christ, Faith’s Reality.
1 Corinthians 15:3-8 NKJV
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that
Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He
was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the
Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once,
of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have
fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the
apostles. 8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one
born out of due time.
13. To the Path to Life.
“whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
Romans 10:9-13 NKJV
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in
your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be
saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the
Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to
shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for
the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For
“whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
14. The Path to Life.
The New Birth.
John 3:1-3 NKJV
1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a
ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said
to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from
God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is
with him.”
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to
you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God.”
15. The Path to Life.
The New Birth.
John 3:4-7 NKJV
4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he
is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb
and be born?”
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is
born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of
God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which
is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to
you, ‘You must be born again.’”
16. The Path to Life.
The fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
18. The Plan of Hope & Salvation:
John 3:16-17 NKJV
16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world
to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be
saved.”
John 14:6 NKJV
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No
one comes to the Father except through Me.”
19. The Plan of Hope & Salvation:
Romans 3:23 NKJV
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23a NKJV
23a For the wages of sin is death,
• Death in this life (the first death) is 100%.
• Even Jesus, the only one who doesn’t deserve death, died in this life to pay
the penalty for our sin.
• The death referred to in Romans 6:23a is the “second death” explained in
Revelation 21:8.
20. The Plan of Hope & Salvation:
Revelation 21:8 NKJV
8 “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers,
idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and
brimstone, which is the second death.”
• Anyone who’s lifestyle is one or more of the sins listed in Revelation 21:8, will
experience the “second death” if they do not repent.
• To Repent means to turn around, to go in the opposite direction, to turn away from sin and to
come to Jesus.
Romans 5:8 NKJV
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
21. The Plan of Hope & Salvation:
Romans 6:23b NKJV
23b but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our
Lord.
Revelation 21:7 ESV
7 “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be
his God and he shall be My son.”
• Romans 10:9-10 explains to us how to be overcomers.
22. The Plan of Hope & Salvation:
Romans 10:9-10 NKJV
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe
in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will
be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness,
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13 NKJV
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
23. The Plan of Hope & Salvation:
