1. Sally Bird
Sally is a top level administrator and facilitator with a mission to make people’s
lives easier at work. Calling on her varied international experience working in
Bahrain, London and Australia, Sally has provided senior level administrative
support in both the public and private sectors.
With the ability to get the job done, Sally focuses on good communication and
building relationships. Technically able she enjoys understanding the context and
gaining a clear line of sight for her work. Supporting governing boards and
contributing to their strategic planning makes her invaluable to the management
and executives she serves.
Event management is a key skill Sally offers to any employer helping to create the
right feel for attendees to connect with the organisation. From a new parents’
function at St Bede’s College, to a banking function at London’s Savoy Hotel, Sally
brings the same care and attention to detail that guarantees success.
Helping local communities thrive, Sally is proud of her diverse career which
includes supporting her colleagues as they drill for water in the desert (Bahrain),
showcase their sheep (Central Hawke’s Bay A & P Association), or rebuild the
beautiful city of Christchurch (CERA).
Unflappable and not easily thrown by events she is resourceful and calm in times
of stress and panic. Her current boss is Tier 2 at Canterbury Earthquake Recovery
Authority and he says she is a “quick study” and her positive “can do” attitude
supports him as the organisation transitions from recovery to regeneration.
Sally is proud of the three children she has raised to successful independent
adults. She is committed to maintaining her fitness through yoga practice and is
very interested in healthy eating.
