2. What is Audio?
Audio is the sound system that comes with or is added to a computer system.
Sound is analogue signals that are converted to digital signals by a sound card
and by using an analogue to digital converter (ADC).
A sound card contains a special built-in processor and memory for processing
audio files and sending them to speakers.
When sound is played, digital signals are sent to the speakers where they are
converted to an analogue signal.
The most popular audio file format is MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer-3).
3. What is Video?
A video file is a collection of still images called frames.
The frame rate of a video is the number of still images/frames displayed in
one second (fps).
The higher the frame rate of a video the higher the quality of the video.
The higher the quality of the video, the more bandwidth required for
transmission.
The lower the frame rate of the video, the lower the quality of the video.
Frames per second accompanied by audio make a video clip.
The most popular video file format is MP4 (Moving Picture Expert Group 4)
and AVI (Audio Video Interleave).
