                             Benefits Of Bluetooth
                             Bluetooth In New Age

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 The heart of the Bluetooth brand identity is the
name, which refers to the Danish king Harald
         "Bluetooth" Blaatand.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 Bluetooth is the name for a short-range radio
frequency (RF) technology that operates at 2.4 GHz
and is capable of transmitting voice and data.

 The effective range of Bluetooth devices is 32 feet
         (10 meters).

 Bluetooth transfers data at the rate of 1 Mbps, which
is from three to eight times the average speed of
         parallel and serial ports, respectively.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 Short-range communications technology.

 The key features of Bluetooth technology are
robustness, low power, and low cost .

 Uniform structure for a wide range of devices .

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 Bluetooth enabledelectronic devices connect
       and communicate wirelessly through short-
       range, networks.

 Simultaneously handle both data and voice
       transmissions.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
There are lots of different ways that electronic
devices can connect to one another. For example:

      Component cables
      Electrical wires
      Ethernet cables
      WIFI
      Infrared signals

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 The art of connecting
          things is becoming more
          and more complex every
          day.

       A Bluetooth connection
          is wireless and
          automatic, and it has a
          number of interesting
          features that can simplify
          our daily lives.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
The most common type
          of Bluetooth connectivity
          which one can easily
          found is cell
          phones, Laptops & PDAs.
          Used to transfer;

           Files

           Songs

           Pictures

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 Bluetooth is a wireless
         connective device with
         astonishing range and low
         power that no one think
         before.

      Unlike infra-red, Bluetooth
         does not require line-of-
         sight positioning of
         connected units & no power
         consumption when inactive.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
Bluetooth Radios are very low power their
        consumption of power is as:

         Standby Mode: 0.3 mA

         Operating Mode: 30 mA

Some class 1 radios has consumption of 2.5 mW.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 By installing a Bluetooth
network in your office you can
do away with the complex and
          tedious task of networking
          between the computing devices
          .
       The Bluetooth technology
          connects all your office
          peripherals wirelessly. Connect
          your PC or notebook to
          printers, scanners and faxes
          without the ugly and trouble
          some cable attachments .

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
In meetings and
           conferences you can
           transfer

       Selected documents.

       Exchange electronic business
          cards automatically, without
          any wired connections.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
Connect your wireless
         headset to your

        Mobile phone

        Mobile computer

        Any wired connection

 To keep your hands free when
you're at the office or in car.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
The factors which attracts ones attention are:

         Wire-free

         Built-in security

         Ease-of-use

 Ad hoc networking or Piconets

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 The Bluetooth wireless technology
          specification is available free-of-charge to
          member companies around the globe.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 Bluetooth technology is available in an
       unprecedented range of applications from
mobile phones to automobiles to medical
devices for use by consumers, industrial
       markets, enterprises, and more.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 Bluetooth technology is an ad hoc
       technology that requires no fixed
infrastructure and is simple to install and
set up. You don’t need wires to get
       connected.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 When Bluetooth products identify
themselves, they use the PIN code the first
time they connect. Once connected, always
       securely connected.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 Since the formation of the original
      group, more than 1800 manufacturers
      worldwide have joined the initiative
      worldwide.

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
Nine leading communications
         and computer industry vendors
         including companies like:
        3-COM
        Ericsson
        Lucent
        IBM
        Intel
        Microsoft
        Nokia
        Hewlett Packard
        Toshiba

Sunawar Khan Ahsan
 As a result of success of WAP adoption of smart
         phones and handheld devices .

 Bluetooth will have tremendous effects on
         everyday life.

 Bluetooth is one of the key technologies that can
make the mobile information society possible.
