3. The role of digital technologies
• Digital technologies
are changing citizens daily life, the way of working and doing
business, and the way people travel, communicate and relate with
each other
are transforming the world through digital communication, social
media interaction, e-commerce, and digital enterprises are
generating an ever-increasing amount of data, which can lead to a
completely new means and levels of value creation
• Digital Technologies induced transformation is as
fundamental as that caused by the industrial revolution
Replacing non-digital or manual processes with digital processes
or replacing older digital technology with newer digital technology
Enabling new types of innovation and creativity, rather than
simply enhancing and supporting traditional methods
