2. Legacy HR Systems Unable to Support Rapid Growth Rate of Company
The client’s rapid growth rate in the global marketplace was hindered by the very
systems they relied on to establish the business. Due to an increasing customer base and
business demand, it recruited and hired 750 new employees, opened two new offices,
and incorporated changes for over 1500 human resources (HR) in one fiscal year. The
client was supporting its employees from an array of separate legacy HR systems. The
lack of integration between these systems and high volume of transactions made HR
processes difficult to handle, and caused delays, communication issues, and errors.
With such a large staff to manage, the client needed a unified solution for all talent
management processes. A streamlined and more efficient solution would improve
workforce potential, automate and electronically connect processes and systems,
enhance auditing capabilities, and support the company’s future growth.
YASH Technologies was the client’s partner of choice for the previous Preparation and
Blueprinting phases for this global rollout of the SAP HCM solution. As a certified partner
for SAP solutions, YASH would be able to utilize leading tools and methodology to ensure
absolute success, and was again selected for the implementation phase.
YASH Streamlined and Integrated Essential Workforce Processes with SAP HCM
In order to maximize the value of the client’s IT investment, YASH worked in tandem with
the client to analyze the existing landscape and understand internal work processes.
YASH proposed an SAP HCM platform that would deliver essential functionality to:
▪▪ Support local and central management
▪▪ Create a system of record for all employee information with accurate and integrated
data
▪▪ Simplify all HR business processes
▪▪ Integrate with other global HR and financial systems to form a consistent and unified
enterprise platform
▪▪ Scale with future needs of the company
▪▪ Be deployed rapidly and with minimal business disruption
The HCM modules selected and incorporated into the solution were: Enterprise
Compensation, Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, and Payroll
Administration. These modules allowed the client to utilize best-of-breed applications
for business differentials, and eliminate risk and errors inherent in having manual
intervention in so many HR/ Financials/ Purchasing processes.
YASH recognized the need for a flexible IT solution to improve the client’s overall data
integrity. In addition to incorporating industry best practices, YASH implemented the
client-specific practices that could stabilize operations and control variation:
▪▪ Clear requirements on forms ▪▪ Shut down channels of multiple sources
of information
▪▪ Standardized procedures
▪▪ Simplify and unbundle job roles
▪▪ Reject/coach non-conforming requests
