Fashion is an ever changing, fast-paced industry, the purpose of
this assignment is to encourage your reading of current fashion
trade publications, news reports, fashion magazines, etc. To
keep us current with what is happening in the fashion world.
Directions:
At the beginning of each class period one student will have the
opportunity to present a current fashion fact (piece of new
fashion information). This will be an oral presentation and
should be no more than one minute in length.
A sign-up sheet will be available at the first day of class to
select the date on which you will give your report.

2. We will have
‘A Fashion Minute’
at every class meeting, so you must keep your sign-up date.
The criterion for ‘A Fashion Minute’ is as follows:
has to be related to the fashion industry
an item cannot be reported more than once
the source of the information is to be no more than two weeks
old, if coming from a daily/weekly news source or the current
issue of a fashion magazine
Grading - For the presentation you are to:
Provide the source of the information
Present the fact
Do this in one minute or less
Turn in a one page summary from your source
Attach this sheet to your summary for record of your
presentation of your ‘Fashion Minute’.
Suggested sources of information:
Fashion magazines (trade publications) – WWW, DNR, W
Fashion magazines (consumer magazines) – Harpers Bazaar,
Vogue, GQ, etc.
Daily newspapers, news magazines, etc.
