 Geometric Isomer- Is a chemical compound
having the same molecular formula as another
but a different geometric configuration, as
when atoms or groups of atoms are attached in
different spatial arrangements on either side of
    a bond or a ring.
 “Cis” means to be on the same side of a
    molecular formula.
 While “trans” means to be on different sides of
    the molecular formula.

Geometric isomer
“Trans” isomers usually are more stable than
“Cis” isomers because they are more straight and
have a easier time forming hydrogen bonds in
nature.
 The main thing about geometric isomers is they
have the same molecular formula yet they have
    very different geometric configurations.
