organizations, among which is the Translational Genomics
(TGen) Foundation.
TGen develops smarter treatments and earlier diagnostics for
neurological disorders, diabetes, cancer, and other diseases.
Begun in 2002, the nonprofit uses genetic components to help
understand molecular medicine.
To help the nonprofit raise funds to support its research, TGen
sponsors a variety of events throughout the year.

3.  One event is its tenth annual Terri Link Memorial Fund Golf
Tournament, with the 2016 tournament set to take place on
September 23 at The Georgia Club in Statham, Georgia. This
tournament raises money for the adrenocortical cancer (ACC)
research, in which physicians and scientists use molecular
science on this specific type of cancer. ACC is a rare cancer of
the adrenal cortex that one to two people in one million have.
Golfers at this tournament compete in on-course contests,
with the winners announced at an awards ceremony.
Following the golf tournament, participants will enjoy a
reception and refreshments. Winners from the event’s raffles
are also announced at the reception.
