Dot Hill, 2012 – 2014, Pre-Sales Storage Solutions Architect
Traditional (linear) and Hybrid, Virtualized Tiered storage consultant for OEM and Channel sales.
Technical customer account focus to provide pre-sales for OEM and Channel Sales Teams. Played a key role in the
establishment of the new Channel Sales Team by supporting pre-sales engagements, on-going customer technical
presentations, product evaluations, POC,technical certification training development and delivery, joint customer calls
with partners, and product evangelism for realtime-tiering storage. Responsible for the SE Lab equipment resources;
supporting channel demos of three generations of products and product testing. Support, maintain & provision virtual
and bare metal Windows, Red Hat Linux, HP-UX servers; storage from numerous storage arrays; and Virtual
Infrastructure (lifecycle management, performance, storage optimization).
Oracle, 2010 – 2012, Systems Consultant - Engineered Storage Solutions
Customer-facing role in place to drive revenue and enable Oracle to maintain its credibility as an industry leader. Subject
matter expert (Exadata,Exalogics, SuperCluster) formulating and leading presales technical/functional support activities

IBM, 2009 – 2010, Secured Customer Service Center Setup and Initial Operations
Support the initial setup and configuration of a secure customer call service center, which provides remote
troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Administer Windows server and desktop environments including hardware,
network, and software infrastructure components. Design, install and configure systems, monitor systems activities and
fine tune system parameters and configuration to optimize performance and ensure security of systems. This was a
project job I took after being laid-off during the economic downturn; pay scale was 50% of my normal pay, but with the
times being the way they were with the economy, I considered myself lucky to have found this cool project. Completed
the project early and I was open to an invitation from some former colleagues, at Oracle, to consider putting my Sun
Microsystems experiences to work for their group in Oracle; having recently acquired Sun.
Data Domain, 2008 – 2009, Sales System Engineer and Security Technologist – Intel Community
Successfully supported the development of the federalcustomer base,in the western United States, by providing pre- and
post-technical sales storage and data deduplication support; while maintaining responsibility for customer presentations,
requirements analysis, architecture designs, quote reviews, sizing exercises, and competitive analysis. Laid off
Quantum Corporation, 2007 – 2008. Sales System Engineer – Intel Community
Effectively provided pre-sales technical support for data backup, lifecycle management, and disaster recovery with
emphasis on data deduplication technology. Produced customer presentations, requirements analysis, architecture

designs. Managed the establishment of a business unit focused on the latest technology associated with enterprise storage
management to include SAN,SRM, and provisioning capabilities. Resigned to go back to working Government programs
and utilizing my security clearances.
Brocade Communications Systems, 2002 – 2003, SAN Storage Engineer
Supported the development of the federalcustomer base in the westernUnited Statesby providing pre- and post- technical
sales support for Brocade’s fibre channel products, while providing systems solutions and serving as technicalconsultant
for SAN technology solutions. Lead the technical aspects of sales engagements for Brocade solutions in the Federal
Civilian Agency market, with a focus on High Performance Computing (HPC) customers. In depth technical
design and hands-on implementation for IP, L2/L3 enterprise, and data center networking. Laid off.

Successfully provided pre- and post-technical sales support for SAN and storage best practices while serving as technical
consultant for McDATA’s customers and prospects in the direct and indirect sales channels.
Instrumental in the initialization of the OEM and channels programs through supporting the new HDS
relationship and continuing with HP,Compaq, and IBM. Continued my SAN (Storage Area Network) evangelist
role supporting the new fibre channel SAN switching technology. Resigned to take an opportunity offered by
Brocade to provide direct touch to their federal customers in the Rocky Mountain Region.

Provided the EMC sales organization, channel sales organization, customers, and prospects with accurate and timely
technical information and support to help make EMC's products and services the solution of choice in the marketplace.
I was one of the first SAN (Storage Area Network) evangelist for fibre channel SAN switches in the industry. I spun-off
