  1. 1. Top 5 most interesting aquariums in the US The ocean covers two thirds of the entire planet. Living inside there is more wildlife than you can probably imagine. From stunning lion fish to large sharks or sting rays, we miss much of this amazing nature cinema because we simply live on land. There is an alternative for us land dwellers though. We have the option to go to an aquarium. Aquariums in the United States differ from size to what kind of fish they have but below are some of the US’s best. Number five: Monterey Bay Aquarium Number five takes us to the beautiful Monterey Bay in California. This beautiful aquarium is right along the California coast and when you aren’t soaking up some of the sun’s rays, you can make your way to this aquarium. The Monterey Bay aquarium has large tanks that display small vivid fish to larger sharks. Something unique about this aquarium is its ocean sunfish that it has in captivity. This is definitely worth a visit to the famous Monterey Bay aquarium. Number four: Maritime aquarium The Maritime aquarium, roughly 20 minutes from downtown Stamford, is one of the nation’s best kept secrets. With its focus largely towards education, this can be a great aquarium for younger families. It boasts not only sea life but a handful of other exhibits such as Meer cats. A trip to the Maritime aquarium will also give you a good variety of different aquatic sea life. From Large sand tiger sharks to little jelly fish, if you are looking for the best hotel in Stamford, make sure you check out the hotel packages or hotel deals because this place is a must if you are nearby. Number three: Oregon Coast Aquarium This aquarium boast many awards from many different places such as “best tourist attraction” and “best summer camp for kids” and consequently lands its way on number three in this countdown. The Oregon coast aquarium has a feature that many places don’t have. The Oregon coast aquarium boasts a tunnel through the actual tanks. You don’t just look at a tank, you are inside the tank. You can look at the sea life right above you and not just look but be part of the whole experience. With a rich variety of sea life, this aquarium should be on everyone’s list to go see. Number two: Georgia Aquarium The Georgia aquarium in 2005 was rated the World’s largest aquarium and consequently will not let you down when you see it. Something so unique about this aquarium is the housing of massive whale sharks.
  2. 2. This is the only aquarium outside of Asia that houses any. Going to see these behemoths can make any trip a memorable trip. Number one: Ripley’s Aquarium Number one on this list is found in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This large aquarium has loads of stingrays and sharks. The stingrays love to be seen and can be seen eating from the divers hands in the large tanks. This amazing aquarium even has a sand tiger shark. These sharks can get to a length of 13 feet!
