Led initiative to generate a critical third source of revenue for Lancaster Bible College.
Analyzed different strategic models then built a business plan. I won board approval and the
Ambassador Foundation was created. The foundation has raised approx. $7M/ year and is
currently managing $20M helping scores of small non-profits and their donors generate funds.
Charged with spearheading a strategic planning process that would transform Lancaster Bible
College into a leading independent Bible College. Listened, developed and sharpened
ownership of the vision and goals, designed a participatory planning and budgeting process,
built, coached and led the team through the process and implementation. The college is now
the second largest independent Bible College in the world.
Created a Sportsman’s Odyssey program that connected wealthy individuals who enjoyed
hunting with fundraising. Designed hunting and shopping trips, dinners and other events to
generate new donors and board members for non-profits. In the process I built lasting
relationships that I maintain to this day and raised contributions well in excess of $100k.
Strategically redesigned and developed a process to expand House of the Rock’s Board of
Directors. After analyzing the situation and focus as a marriage ministry I determined that a
board with couples would be more effective. Built a process to recruit married couples and
encouraged existing board members to bring their wives. Within 6 months 5 couples have
completed the recruitment process and currently 2 joined the board.
Spearheaded the sale and purchase of land for Lancaster Bible College. Organized a
committee of board members and key business leaders engaging in the formulation of a plan.
After the committee and potential purchaser could not agree on terms I strategically
restructured the proposal to a win-win for all involved. The plan was accepted and
implemented. The land was sold and the property they wanted purchased. Also, the buyer
made a donation to the College.
Designed and drove a campaign to attract investors for a substantial expansion project at Trop
Gun Shop. Built a list of potential investors using my network, established a process for
recruiting the potential investors and then connected their hunting/shooting sports interests
with the opportunities at Trop. Personally followed up multiple times, building relationships
with investors. Recruited 50 potential investors with company receiving the funding it needed.
