The coronavirus pandemic has impacted fashion trends in several ways. People are commonly wearing face masks and more muted clothing when leaving home. Few 2020 fall designs made it to stores due to logistical problems and closures. Experts predict post-pandemic fashion will feature bold colors, shapes, and sustainability as designers and buyers reconsider wasteful trends in favor of durable styles.
2. The

Non-‐‑essential

requested
to

to
flatten
the

and
to

social

whenever
they

Fashion
designer
Remi
Landau
claims
that
while
these
times
can
leave
everyone
downtrodden,
there
is
always
something
that
springs
up.
Much
like
how
Coco

from
foraged

during

I,
fashion
trends
have
sprung
from
this
pandemic.
Fashion
today
It
is
almost
common
to
see
people
in
the
streets
wearing
something
muted
along
with
their
face
masks.
Some
people
are
even
placing
cloth
face

over
their
surgical
masks
for
added

and,
perhaps,
as
an
accessory.
Because
of
logistical

very
little

What’s
to
come:
Post
COVID-‐‑19
fashion
Fashion

predict
that
post-‐‑COVID-‐‑19
fashion
would
resemble
Christian
Dior's

designs
that
followed
the
end

People
can
expect
colorful
fabrics,
maximalist

What
may
be
different
could
be
the
mindset
of
buyers

designers.
Remi

believes
that
the

has
forced
a
lot
of
designers
to
go
back
to
the

board
to
come
up
with
more
sustainable

solutions.
Buyers
meanwhile
will
be
more
budget-‐‑conscious,
unwilling
to
purchase
something
flimsy
that
they
may
only
use
once
or
twice.
