1. BAS/Family Sep
-Soldiers will have their separate rations taken out for the time that they are at
NTC. Soldiers/Families must be aware of this so they can properly budget.
Soldiers must also be sure to not spend outside of their means while at
NTC, particularly for meals. (Ex. Burger King, Shoppette) The meals that they
are provided will be their meals for the day. Soldiers may spend additionally at
their own discretion
-The BAS for FY 2012
-Enlisted: $348.00/month
-Officers: $239.00/month
-Family separation pay will be due to Soldiers who spend more than 30 days
away from their home station. Primarily for NTC this will be Soldiers who were
on Torch, LTP, or Advon flights. (Although this is not for sure yet due to the
possibility of early return flights. The DD 1561 will be filed no earlier than the
31st day. Soldiers who qualify for this will route the form through the BN S-
1, who will route the form to the Ft. Drum Finance Office.
