  3. 3. What is smoking ? • the action or habit of inhaling and exhaling the smoke of tobacco or a drug. • Its addictive , more than heroine or cocaine. Some facts : • Smoking is highest among those aged 20-24 • About 12 million adults in great Britain smoke cigarettes .
  4. 4. What are in cigarettes ? • Over 4000 chemical ! • 60 are of carcinogenic !
  5. 5. Why do people smoke ? • Some want to act cool or look like someone special or dangerous. • Their family or friends are smokers. • Cultural influences • Because of stress and pressure.
  6. 6. Smoking effects on health • Heart diseases , and increase chances of stroke. • Is a main reason for many types of cancer such as lung, mouth and throat cancer … etc. • Chronic diseases such as Emphysema .
  7. 7. Statics on smoking • 600,000 yearly deaths from smoking. • %80 of lung cancers are caused by smoking. • 10 years shorter lifespan on average. • 790 house fires yearly because of cigarettes. • 98,000 respiratory diseases caused by smoking.
  8. 8. How to quit smoking ? • Get motivated, you need a powerful reason to quit. • Consider Nicotine-Replacement Therapy. • Being active can curb nicotine cravings and ease some withdrawal symptoms. • Eat Fruits and Vegetables. • Choose Your Reward.
