2. Steps to Type Report
1. Locate the appropriate job folder.
2. Open the “job_name_Master_Template.xls”
and “job_name_Reports # to #…
3. Select desired template and SaveAs (today’s
date in the workbook entitled Reports # to
#….)
4. Type information into blank form.
5. Save file in file (Reports # to #…)
6. Print.
3. Step 1
(Locate the appropriate job folder)
Click Start
Then “My Network Places”
Then “MLA Labs on File Server”
Then “CMT”
Then “CMT Active”
Then “Job Name Folder”
4. Step 2
(Open the “job_name_Master_Template.xls”)
In the appropriate job folder from the previous
step, find the file entitled
“job_name_Master_Template.xls”
Open by double clicking
In the appropriate job folder from the previous
step, find the file entitled “job_name_Reports #
to #…”
Open by double clicking
5. Step 3
Select desired template and SaveAs (today’s date in
the workbook entitled Reports # to #….)
While inside the Master_Template from the previous
step, find the appropriate form you desire.
When form is found, right click and Click “Move or Copy”
from list
– Change to Book to “Reports # to #….”
– Click icon below that says “create a copy”
– Click “ok”
When this is complete, you may change the title of the report
to today’s date by simply clicking on the tab below and over
writing the text.
6. Step 4
(Type information into blank form.)
Type all relevant information into the appropriate
form.
Heading information should be automatically filled
out for you.
7. Step 5
(Save file in file (Reports # to #…)
Since you have already saved this information,
you should not have to save as again.
Simply just click save.
8. Step 6
(Print)
Before you print
Run spell check by pressing F7
Print preview to ensure that the form looks good.
Print amount of desired copies.
9. Repeat for Multiple forms
If you have more than one report for a job repeat
Steps 3-6, until complete.
