 Shape:- oblong circular
 Color:- dull green
 Flower:- red
 Leaf:- leaves oblong to
circular
 Uses:- decorative
 Growing conditions:-no water
in rain an winter
3.Morpankh
 Botanical name:- Thuja
orientalis
 Height :- upto 3m
 Spread :- upto 2m
 Shape:- conical
 Leaf :- opposite, acute.
Appressed, minute.
 Color:- green
 Flower:- no
 Uses:- decorative
 Growing condition::- tropical ,
subtropical & wrm temp. It
tolerates drought & disc likes
stagnant water around the
roots.

showy, light violet, on long

 Uses:- decorative
 Growing conditions:- prefers a
well drained soil and sunny
location, flowers better in dry
and mild climate.

 Shape:- ovate or elliptical
 Color:-green, yellow
 Flower:- blue or white
 Leaf:- leaves have blotches of
ivory yellow & green
 Uses:- decorative
1. Bottle Brush
 Botanical name:- Callisteman
citrnus.
 Height:- 7-10m
 Color:-greyish brown
 Shape:- linear lanceolate
 Flower:- reddish bright red
 Fruit:-ovoid capsule
 Leaf:- 3-6cm long 1cm wide
 Uses:-it is planted at the
backgroiund of the shurbbery,
along the boundary of small
garden.
 Growing conditions:- the tree
grow bothj in moist and dry
region but prefer a warm
humid climate and moist soil.

 Uses:-used as lemon tree
 Growing conditions:-quick growing, sun,
semishade.
3. Anjir
 Botanical name:- Ficus carica
 Height:- 4-7m
 Shape:- 10cm long Deciduous
leaves have 3 or 5 lobes
 Color:- Brownish green
 Flower:- no
 Fruit:- small fruit containig seeds
 Leaf:- 3 or 5 lobes
 Uses:- food use
 Growing conditions:- partial
shade to full
4. Guava
 Botanical name:- Pidium
guava
 Height:- 5-7m
 Color:- evergreen for eaves
and white of flowers
 Flower:- white
 Fruit:- friut is edible, round to
pear-shaped, from 3-10cm
dia.
 Leaf:- leaves are opposite
,simple, elliptic to ovate
 Uses:- food use
 Growing conditions:-Guavas
are cultivated in many tropical
& sub tropical countries. It is
suitably grown in tropical
climate.
5. Papaya
 Botanical name:-Carica papaya
 Height:-4m
 Color:-green or more or less dark purple
 Shape:-long , hollow, succulent
 Flower:-5 petalled flowers are fleshy,
waxy.
 Fruit:-melon- like ,oval to nearlyground,
elongated club-shaped, 15-50cm long,
10-20cm thick
 Leaf:-emerges directly from the upper part
of the stem in a spiral on nearly
horizonatal petioles 30-105cm leaves
conatin copious white.
 Uses:-antibiotic, food uses, medicinaland
cosmetic used.
 Growing conditions:-It needs plentiful
rainfall or irrigation but must have good
drainage.
1. Alternanthera
 Botanical name:- Alternanthera
bettzickiana ‘Variegata’
 Height:- 4-5 cm
 Color:-
 Shape:- spooned shaped, 1 in.
 Flower:-no
 Leaf:- leaves small curved or
spoon shaped, little compact bush
 Growing conditions:- moderate
sun and porous soil are necessary
GROUNDCOVER
2. Durva
 Botanical name:- Cynodon ductylon
 Height:- 4-5 cm
 Color:- green
 Shape:- small width
 Flower:-no
 Leaf:- stem erection: 1 to 30 cm ,
rarely upto 90cm
 Growing conditions:-grass creeps
along the groung & root wherever
node touches the ground, forming a
dense mat, full sun, good amount of
water needed.
3. Flame grass
 Botanical name:- Miscanthus
sinensis ‘Purpurascens’
 Height:-2-3 ft.
 Color:- combination of green &
reddish purple
 Shape:- strips like structure
 Flower:-no
 Leaf:- foilage change color in
september.
 Growing conditions:- neede full
sun and moist , well drained soil.
4. Bamboo grass
 Botanical name:- Pleioblastus
viridistriatus
 Height:- upto .45 m
 Color:- light yellow- green
 Texture:- rough
 Flower:-no
 Leaf:- leaves with green
variegation & hairs in the leaves
 Growing conditions:- requires full
sunlight, requires moist soil.
5. Reed grass white
 Botanical name:- Arundo donax
versicolor
 Height:- upto 2m
 Color:- cream-whitish green
 Shape:- broad sward shaped
 Flower:-no
 Texture:- rough and shiny
 Growing conditions:- requires full
sunlight and little water.
1. Chinese evergreen
 Botanical name:- Aglaonema
 Height:- upto 1m
 Color:-combination of silver and green color
 Shape:-
 Leaf:- crown of wide leaf blades which in
wild species are often variegated with
silver and green coloration
 Flower:- unisexual flower in a spadix.
 Fruit:- thin layer covering large seed
 Texture:- soft
 Uses:- grown as luck-brinfing and also for
ornamental purpose
 Growing conditions:- live inlow light
condition and are popular houseplants.

 Height:-50 -150 cm long
 Color:- green
 Leaf:- leaves have a pinnate
vein pattern
 Flower:-no
 Texture:- pinnae vein pattern
on compoun leaves.
 Growing conditions:- the fern
strives best in humid
condition , needs full shade.
3. Pygmy date palm
 Botanical name:- phoenix roebelenii
 Height:- 2-3m
 Color:- grey- green
 Leaf:- leaves are 60-120 cm long,
pinnate with around 100 leaflets
arranged in a single palm
 Flower:-are small and yellowish
 Fruit:- edible 1cm drupe resembling
a small, thin-fleshed date
 Uses:-as a popular ornamental
plant
 Growing conditions:-the plant grows
in partial shade of full sun, with the
local climate determining where to
plant.
4. Ponytial palm
 Botanical name:- Beaucarnea
recurvata
 Height:- 4.72m
 Color:- green
 Leaf:- the stem produces terminal
tufts of strap-shaped, recurved
lethery eve ,sometimes hair lock –
shaped in the ends
 Flower:- small white flower after the
plant completes 10 yr of age.
 Fruit:- no
 Uses:- ornamental plant
 Growing conditions:- full sun to ight
he. Nee proper soil mix to drain
when watered.it cannot resist cold
temperature.
5. English Ivy
 Botanical name:- Hedera helix
 Height:- 20-30m
 Color:- greenish yellow
 Leaf:-50-100 mm long, with 15-20mm
petiole with palmately five lobed juvenile
leaves
 Flower:-5cm dia. Umbes, greenish-yellow
 Fruit:- purple-black to orange-yellow
berries.
 Texture:-darker and rough surface
 Uses:- as ground cover and as building
facade green
 Growing conditions:-preer moist, shady
locations and avoids exposure to direct
sunlight and dries in winter.
