Drucker  "Management is a multi-purpose organ that manages business and manages managers and manages workers and work." – Father of modern management (Peter F. Drucker).  Management is multi purpose as it is used for the benefit of both employees and organization. It is an organ as it helps to fulfil the purpose of both the staffs and organization and assist for their survival.  Management manages the business, the employees, their work, and the managers who belong to higher level. So, it encompasses everything and fulfils the requirements of employees, managers, business and organization as a whole.

PURPOSE & MISSION :- • Every Organisation needs to have a mission statement. • The mission statement reflects the basic purpose and philosophy of the organization. • The mission statement gives a clear idea of the long-run commitment of an organization.
  4. 2. PRODUCTIVE WORK & WORKER ACHIEVEMENT :- Every institution accomplishes its performance through productive work of employees. To make work productive, is therefore an essential function of management. Making the worker achieve productivity implies and entails considering the human resource as human beings and not machines.
  5. 3. SOCIAL IMPACTS & SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :- Organisations are the organs of the society and exist to fulfil a specific purpose. Through its business activities, every organisation impacts its employees, customers, dealer, suppliers, communities and the society. Managing social impact and responsibilities will ensure long-term success and survival of the organisation.
  6. 4. TIME DIMENSION :- Every organisation should consider the present and the future, the short-run and the long-run. Managers need to aim at striking a balance between the present and desired future results. Sustain and develop the performance of every resource.
  7. 5. ADMINISTRATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP :- To ‘administer’ is to always manage and improve what already exists. To act like an ‘entrepreneur’, manager has to redirect resources from the areas of low or diminishing results to areas of high or increasing results. Proper administration & entrepreneurship will help the manager in making the business of tomorrow.
