2. What Is Our Target
Audience?
Our song is in the Pop genre but it has country influences.
This means that our audience can be a range of people as it
has a blend of two genres.
It can be targeted at many different audiences but our desired
target audience is for young adult aged 16 - 24
3. Why Young Adults?
We think this is the appropriate audience because the song
genre is Pop with country influence. This genre is very
common to young adults.
Also, the song has good meaningful and inspiring lyrics that
young people can look up to. For example the chorus says, ‘be
someone’ numerous times. This can be seen as a motivation for
young adults
The music video will be meaningful and will portray a person
seeing the hardships of life – this sort of idea is not common
to young people as the Pop genre is mostly about love, sex and
drugs and parties and these are what the young audiences like
to watch. Therefore our song choice best suits young adults.
