Have students group based on likes

Provide a variety of OTR’s (opportunities to respond)

Step 1: iPad basics
Safe use of the iPads
● When walking use two hands or
close to body
● Don’t set on edge of table or on the
floor
● No food or drink near iPads
● Clean hands
Respectful use of the iPads
● No taking pictures of other
humans without permission
● App downloads by teacher only
● When listening to audio keep it
low or use headphones
Responsible use of the iPads
● Report inappropriate use to the teacher
● Only go to apps and websites that you have permission for
● Make awesome stuff to show what you are learning
Step 2: Pic Collage App
● Create a collage with the images you took
● Get as fancy as you want (borders, stickers, etc.)
● Save your collage to your camera roll
● Be nice and be neighborly
Step 3:
With a partner:
● 1 minute to get your topic
● 5 minutes for taking pictures
● 5 minutes for creating your collage
● 10 minutes to share

Step 4: Extensions
Have students brainstorm other topics for this activity
Have students vote on the favorite collage in each group
Add reps and give opportunities for students to use this skill with a math theme,
