8. Today in the modern world where almost every nation wants to move towards the
smart environment, the concept of smart cities or smart living is growing rapidly.
This research article has discussed different challenges, technologies, goals,
framework and applications of smart cities. It is observed that although smart
cities promise several benefits to their dwellers but at the same time this concept
of smart living is also prone to several different kinds of security risks. Therefore,
it can be suggested that implementation of IOT technologies still needs to undergo
improvements in order to make the dream come true ; the dream of creating safer
and robust smart cities. It can be stated here that, application based and realistic
solutions are needed to compete with the challenges of smart cities. The authors of
this research article hopes to provide a guiding path for the future researchers
who intend to contribute in this research area.
