  11. 11. TREND OF NUMBER OF POPULATIONS ESTIMATED IN CH PHASE 3 TO WORST : 2016 - 2021
  12. 12. ● Insecurity in the major driver with massive displacement of the population in North-east and North-west of Niger, in the ALG zone (Burkina Faso-Niger-Mali) ● intensification of attacks by armed groups and finally, in western and central north Nigeria where the phenomenon of kidnapping and sequestration is increasingly contributing to a climate of terror and fear in the affected States. ● the residual effects of COVID 19 continue to deteriorate the economic conditions of populations exacerbated by high inflation, particularly in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Acute FNI Drivers

In the Western Basin, however, there is a stability or even a slight decrease in prices compared to the past period, although prices are still up 15% compared to the average. ● Household incomes are severely degraded and are disrupting food access in countries such as Sierra Leone and Liberia due to the decline in purchasing power combined with high inflation, as well as in areas affected by insecurity, particularly in the Liptako Gourma area and North-east and North-west of Nigeria. Acute FNI Drivers
