course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web.
• contain a mix of familiar and somewhat unfamiliar approaches to
teaching and learning
• It helps intellects of various areas of interest in any professions to
share ideas about things which constitutes to their profession.
• a course of study made available over the Internet without charge to
a very large number of people.

• short history of distance learning and may explain much about the sudden
popularity of MOOCs.
• The evolution of technology and of new learning experiences have always
been closely related. As distance learning specialists affirm, the field of
distance-learning had three main generations:
