• By utilising the line’s capabilities, critical
parameters such as brightness, roughness
and reflectivity can be modified and tightly
controlled to achieve the desired polished finish.
• The line can achieve a wide range of surface
roughness (Ra) from 0.90 micron down to
0.20 micron, necessary where high resistance
to tea staining and high levels of hygiene
are important.
• Offering an Enhanced Brush stainless steel
finish. A unique smooth finish with stunning
appearance and excellent hygienic properties.
• Coils are polished to meet strict client weight
or length requirements, and edge tracking
ensures no telescoping.
• We also offer the optional application of PE
coating from edge-to-edge on both sides of
the coil with paper interleaved for all recoils.
Coil Polishing
The coil polishing line was
manufactured by IMEAS (Italy)
– one of the world’s leading
manufacturers of polishing
and brushing machinery.
Our coil polishing line has a 10 tonne coil to coil
capacity with twin-head dry-belt polishing. In addition
to the dry belt, the line has three head heavy duty
brushing units, with capability of polishing from
the nose to tail of the coil to maximise coil yield.
These oscillating brushing heads offer an enhanced
brushed finish and numerous combinations of both
polishing and brushing, to suit a wide variety of
applications.
We believe in a world that lasts forever, and that
appearance is of the essence.
Our Enhanced Brush finish is designed for architectural
and catering applications where it combines an
aesthetically pleasing product with the unique
properties of stainless steel. With a consistently
smooth finish, Enhanced Brush not only looks stunning,
it also offers excellent hygienic properties.
While the inherent properties of stainless steel resist
impurities and corrosion, an Enhanced Brush smooth
surface prevents dirt and bacteria from becoming
trapped. Simple and easy to clean, Enhanced
Brush is low maintenance so, in addition to being
environmentally friendly, it will deliver a long working life.

• The sheet polisher works hand in hand with
the coil polisher to ensure coil yields are
maximised. The twin head dry belt polishes
with in-feed and out-feed automated lifting
of sheets.
• The sheet length range is between 880mm
and 4000mm long and up to 1500mm wide
(larger sheets up to 6250mm are delivered
via the Coil Polishing/Cut to Length route).
• The sheet line is also ideal for the delivery
of smaller runs and thicker material cut flat
on the Cut to Length, depending on customer
requirements.
• Every sheet is thoroughly inspected by our fully
trained and qualified staff after it is polished
and before it is plastic coated to ensure you
get the right finish.
Sheet Polishing
Sheet Polishing with quality,
reliability and consistency,
assured each and every time.
The sheet polishing line is also manufactured by
IMEAS. The line is maintained by specialist engineers
to ensure consistent quality and finish is maintained
every time.
Stainless sheet is a very challenging and difficult
material to polish. To achieve the right finish and
consistent appearance you need to have the right
equipment, the right experience and above all a
dedication to quality. This is what you get when you
choose Outokumpu for your polished stainless steel.
