Hello Everyone. Thank you so much for being with us today.
I’m here to share the latest innovations in our HCM Cloud 2019 Spring Update, which covers all of the new differentiating features that be delivered in the 1st half of calendar year 2019.
We’ll be discussing innovations that are both readily available and in our development pipeline, so please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Safe Harbor Statement.
The TV, which was invented in 1927 took 13 years to reach a critical mass in the US
It only took 2 years for smart speakers to hit the same level, today 1/5 households has a smart speaker. BY 2023, it’s projected that there will be on average 3 smart speakers per household.
Conversational interfaces are becoming more pervasive in our daily lives, and have started to enter our work.
There is a great digital divide between how we live and how we work.
You’ve probably felt it yourself –voice-enabled digital assistants like Alexa, IoT devices such as smart watches, are just a few of the technologies that show up in our lives in new ways every day. Businesses have adopted these technologies in their workplaces slower than most individuals.
In a study called ‘AI in the Workplace’ by Oracle and the Future Workplace, it showed that employees are ready to engage with new and emerging technologies at work.
Over 90% of people said they would trust orders from a robot at work,
But only 6% of HR professionals are actively deploying AI in their organization.
Today – HR organizations need to consider the employee experience at work.
80% of employees have similar expectations for products, tools, and services they use at work – as they do in their consumer lives.
High impact HR organizations are 3.5x more likely to focus on the user experience, when designing HR offerings
Having empathy for your employees pays off!
Today, the overall theme of our 1H 2019 spring update is to make work more human.
We make work simpler with the first and only digital assistant driven mobile experience, purpose-built for HR, and through mobile-responsive design for every transaction.
We make work smarter by providing insight when they need it to make the right decisions, and improve their productivity.
We make work agile by providing HR with the ability to hyper-personalize the employee experience and and tailor their HR processes without the need to involve IT.
At Oracle, …
We’ve made significant enhancements, to what was our user experience from just 2 years ago.
Everything we’ve released currently is built with the end user in mind, delivering simple and quick transactions across every device.
We’ve moved from PC and laptops, to mobile responsive, to the digital assistant that guides and prompts employees on the go.
Everything that is delivered on the desktop is available on mobile devices.
Using these design principles, we’re making work more human by reimaging the experience of everyone. From employees and managers, to HR professionals, and recruiters and candidates.
Digital assistants can help make people be better in their jobs and at work.
When thinking about all of the different devices that employees are using at work today, HR needs to be able to meet them where they are – from their mobile phone, tablet, or laptop.
Employees may not login or navigate to their HR portals every day – yet they expect that HR services to be available to them at their fingertips. When someone wants to take time off, or look up someone in their company– they expect the same experience as if they were looking for information online. The Oracle digital assistant makes it easy for employees to find relevant information, when they need it, and help save HR time from answering many of these inquiries so they can focus on more impactful work.
Managers will greatly benefit from our new digital assistant as well. Tasks such as processing a transfer, and promotion are just some examples for how simply powerful Oracle HCM Cloud can be.
We've completely reimagined how HR services are managed and delivered across organizations with HR Help Desk.
In this update, we've made additional enhancements to make HR knowledge base searchable for everyone. Meaning that employees can now search for information and get answers in a much easier, simpler way.
We also continue to enhance the user experience for HR professionals, making it easier for them to author and respond to service requests.
With Strategic Workforce Planning, fully part of the HCM Cloud, we’re able to align people strategy with long-term corporate strategy - to make sure we have the right workforce, with the right skills, on the right projects at the right time.
Unlike other HCM vendors that need to manually integrate multiple technology solutions, Oracle delivers Strategic Workforce Planning natively as a part of our HCM Cloud – providing one user experience for the end user.
In this update, we’ve made some major enhancements to the HCM Design Studio - a simple and easy tool to help HR design a personalized employee experience
In this example, we’re able to design a promotion for managers. We can choose what fields are shown when a manager completes a promotion.
The HR professional can choose to hide fields such as “move reports to another manager” or “edit manager info” for the marketing team.
Plus, smart defaulting rules can be used to automatically select field values based on business rules.
This is a game changer for HR because HR can personalize the employee experience without the need to code or involve IT.
A major enhancement we’re introducing for recruiters, is the ability for recruiters to track and schedule interviews.
Recruiters can set up interview time slots, select interview participants, attach questions and feedback templates very quickly from a laptop or mobile device.
Once an interview has been scheduled, the participants are notified and a calendar invitation is automatically sent – saving time, and effort for the recruiter.
Today’s job candidates have high expectations. They can easily learn about employers – through social media, job review sites, and word of mouth.
This is why it’s important to personalize the candidate experience.
The best talent acquisition teams understand that a ‘one-size fits all approach’ doesn’t work, they have to treat candidates as customers.
We’re excited to introduce multi-site job pages, that personalize the candidate experience.
Using these design principles, we’re making work more human by reimaging the experience of everyone. From employees and managers, to HR professionals, and recruiters and candidates.
