An entrepreneur since childhood, I have been involved in shaping the future of financial markets (long before anybody had ever heard of "fintech") for more than 25 years (working online since 1994). I am a passionate believer in the power of exchanges and centralised markets to deliver democratic engines of prosperity which create investment opportunities which help all levels of society. My belief in markets tapers with my considerable expertise in financial centres and their development and growth. I remain an active entrepreneur, particularly in Eastern Europe and co-founder of a start-up group in Torun, Poland.
