KANSAS CITY JAZZ ORCHESTRA CONCERT
6:30 pm, Thursday, November 20
As part of the second annual Bop in the Dotte, Kansas City, Kansas Public Library is
hosting a free concert by the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra on Thursday, November 20.
The concert will take place at 7 pm in the KCKCC Performing Arts Center. There will
be a reception prior to the concert at 6:30 pm. No tickets necessary; seating is first
come, first served. The library invites all jazz lovers to attend this exciting event!

PROJECT FEEDERWATCH

Want to help global research? Love birds? If so we have just
the program for you. Every Saturday from November to
April we will be counting the birds. Each year for Project
Feederwatch, "birders" will watch the feeders counting how
many of each species come to visit. The research helps sci-entist
understand population changes. If you want to help
with this amazing research project, call the Library to sign
up for a Saturday! You can count for as much time as you
have, so don't worry if you can only stop by for an hour. We
will also provide binoculars and field guides to help out.

Library programs, events and classes are photographed or videotaped for promotional purposes or
to document library activities. Notify library staff if you prefer not to be photographed.
Library branches will be closed on the following days:
Monday November 17. All locations will close for staff in-service.
Wednesday, November 26. Turner Community Library will close early at 5 pm.
Thursday, November 27. All locations will close for the holiday.
Friday, November 28. All locations will close for the holiday.
Saturday, November 29. Turner Community Library will close for the holiday.
The book drop will be locked at closing the day before.

TEJIDO FÁCIL
¿Le gusta tejer pero no sabe como? Venga y aprenda a tejer
con telares un método muy fácil, rápido y bonito, solo
traiga su telar y estambre. Para más información por favor

PLAZA COMUNITARIA
El INEA y KCKPL ofrecen servicios para que las personas
jóvenes y adultas aprendan, y obtengan el certificado de
educación primaria y secundaria. 2 pm, todos los miércoles.
INGLÉS BÁSICO INFORMAL
Clases de inglés son gratuitas para todos los que buscan
mejorar su habilidad de conversación. Llame al 913-722-
7400 para información adicional. 7 pm, todos los miércoles,
excepto 11/26.
APRENDA A MEDITAR
Aprenda conceptos básicos de meditación. 11 am, todos
los jueves except 11/27.
UNO A UNO - AYUDA DE COMPUTACIÓN
Aprenda Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, y
llenar solicitudes. 10 am, todos los viernes except 11/28.
EXAMEN DE PREPARACIÓN PARA GED
Empiece a prepararse para el GED en la biblioteca. Se

DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS
Disfrute de un dia de celebración tradicional: Día de los
Muertos! Prueba pan de muerto , haga su propia calavera de
azúcar y tomase una foto con la Catrina de la biblioteca! 2

CLASES DE PLATILLOS SALUDABLE PARA
PERSONAS CON DIABETES
Eres una personas con problemas de diabetes? Te invitamos
a que nos acompañes a este programa especial donde usted
aprenderá a cocinar ricos y saludables platillos. 10 am.

COMPUTACIÓN
Aprende conceptos básicos de computación. 10 am,
sábados 8 y 22 de noviembre

Computación básica e Introducción al programa de
procesamiento de texto “Word” Internet uno e introducción
a los programas Publisher, Power Point y Excel. 2 pm, todos
los lunes y martes, except 17, 24, y 25 de noviembre.

Aprenda inglés en la biblioteca. 6 pm, todos los miércoles.
PELÍCULA FAMILIAR EN ESPAÑOL
Las aventuras de Peabody y Sherman.-El Sr. Peabody es un
inventor, científico, ganador del Premio Nobel, gourmet,
medallista olímpico en dos ocasiones, y genio ... quien
resulta ser un perro. Usando su más ingeniosa invención, la
máquina VAPATRAS, el Sr. Peabody y su hijo adoptado
Sherman se lanzan en el tiempo para experimentar los
eventos que han cambiado al mundo de primera mano e
interactuar con algunos de los más grandes personajes de
todos los tiempos. Pero cuando Sherman rompe las reglas del
viaje en el tiempo, nuestros dos héroes se encuentran en una
carrera para reparar la historia y salvar el futuro, mientras
que el Sr. Peabody puede enfrentarse a su mayor desafío - ser

de 6-8 pm. No hay necesidad de inscribirse. Asiste a las
