As part of the second annual Bop in the Dotte, Kansas City, Kansas Public Library is
hosting a free concert by the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra on Thursday, November 20.
The concert will take place at 7 pm in the KCKCC Performing Arts Center. There will
be a reception prior to the concert at 6:30 pm. No tickets necessary; seating is first
come, first served. The library invites all jazz lovers to attend this exciting event!

PROJECT FEEDERWATCH

Want to help global research? Love birds? If so we have just
the program for you. Every Saturday from November to
April we will be counting the birds. Each year for Project
Feederwatch, "birders" will watch the feeders counting how
many of each species come to visit. The research helps sci-entist
understand population changes. If you want to help
with this amazing research project, call the Library to sign
up for a Saturday! You can count for as much time as you
have, so don't worry if you can only stop by for an hour. We
will also provide binoculars and field guides to help out.

Cake pops are the latest trend in small bite desserts, perfect
for any type of occasion or holiday. We will take the
difficulty out of this single-serving delight, teaching you how
to make cake pop dough, form cake balls on sticks, and show
you easy dipping and decorating techniques. This time around
we will be shaping them into turkeys so you will have the
knowledge to make them for your own Thanksgiving
celebration!
