2. Meaning:
Under home banking, the customer can get banking services sitting at
home or office without visiting the branch. Number of routine transaction
can be undertaken by the customer like, knowing the balance, getting a
statement of account etc…

The home banking broadly classified into two categories
Home banking using internet.
Home banking without using internet.
4. Home banking using internet:
The various facilities that can be enjoyed by a customer by
using internet in home Banking are:

Electronic fund transfer.
Online trading.

View your bank account details, account balance download
statement. Also view your Demat, loan and credit card account details all
in one place.
Electronic fund transfer :
EFT is the electronic transfer of money from one bank
account to another, either within a single financial institution or across
multiple institution.

This is service that allows pay various bills through internet
banking i,e 24 hours a day
example: mobile bills, insurance premium etc…
Online trading:
The act of buying and selling stocks, bonds and other financial
instruments through the internet.
7. Home banking without using internet:
here banking facilities are available to the customers sitting in home
without using internet. The instrument used here is telephone. By calling up
branches the customers can enjoy various facilities like.

Each customer is provided with ID and password. Each time when
a customer makes a call to the bank. He has to give the ID and password to get
