3. Installation and Configuration
1.1 Steps to configure Employee Onboarding teams package using app catalog
Pre- requisite: To perform these steps you must have administrative permissions over the
SharePoint tenant.
1. Sign in to Office 365 as a global admin or SharePoint admin.
2. Select the app launcher icon in the upper-left and choose Admin to open the Office 365
admin center. (If you don't see the Admin tile, that means you don't have Office 365
administrator permissions on the SharePoint tenant.)

4. 3. On the left pane, choose Admin centers > SharePoint.
4. Select apps on the left pane, and then select App Catalog.

5. 5. On the home page of the App Catalog site, select the tile labeled as ‘Distribute apps for
SharePoint’.
6. Select New and browse to the eob-teams Package you want to upload, or drag the
app into the library.

6. 7. Check the box for “Make this solution available to all sites in the organization”.
8. The eob teams file has been added.

7. 9. Select uploaded package and Click “Sync with Teams” under the ribbon.
1.2 Steps to integrate in MS Teams:
1. Click on “+” in Teams to add Add-in as Teams tab:

8. 2. Search “Employee Boarding” and click on the tile.
3. Click “Save” , check “Post to the channel about this tab” if you want to send notification to
channel members.

9. 4. Enter site URL in which has latest Employee Onboarding installed and click “Apply”. Check
example of URL under “Note“.
5. If URL is either not valid Employee Onboarding site or if the version installed is old than 7.0.0.6,
then this error message will appear.

10. 6. After successful connection, Employee Onboarding My-Task will be available to use.
Shortcuts
Click the v (scroll down) from the top navigation next to Employee Onboarding “Your company name”
to access the shortcuts as indicated below:

11. Settings
Rename add-in
• Rename the add-in as per your choice under “Tab name”,
• Click “Save” to see the changes will be reflected change, refer the image below:

Filters & Action
Reset Tasks
By resetting, all the new tasks added will started appearing in the search results, making
it easier for you to stay updated.
Filters
• Upon clicking, you will find a list of filters to apply to choose from, as indicated in
the image below:

13. • Select relevant filters and click “Search” to generate relevant results
• Click on Reset icon to remove the filters
Open in SharePoint
• Click “Open in SharePoint” as indicated in the image below
• You will be redirected to the add-in in SharePoint

14. Task Action
• Click on the pencil icon to edit the task, as indicated below:
• Upon clicking, you will get an overview of that particular task, refer the image
below:
• Now select the task status and submit your remark
• Click on “Additional Comments History” to view the comments posted in the past

15. Search Bar
Use the Search Bar to enter a task related keyword as indicated below:
• You will find the relevant tasks with same keywords
• Click on “Search Icon (magnifying glass) as indicated in the image above to view the
search result
Close a Task
• Click on the box under the Close tab (as indicated in the image below) to close a
task:
Note: All the activities being performed will be notified in the Teams Channel and will be visible to those
in the loop.
