THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
Coronavirus is a virus. “Crown “in Spanish is “Corona”. In the past, Coronavirus affected animals.
Coronavirus mutated. Now it is COVID-19 and it affects humans, and now there are new strains.
Last year, people were told to stay home, but not everyone could. Essential workers like medical
staff and supermarket workers still went to work. Many students around the world learned how
to use Google Classroom or other online classroom platforms to continue school. Online
schooling during quarantine can be quite difficult. Students are sometimes home alone, while
other students do not have a computer they can use.
On the other hand, COVID-19 symptoms usually appear after 14 or 15 days. Our immune system
fights COVID-
19. During this fight, you can have fever, headache and cough. In Peru the emergency number
is 113. Vulnerable people (for example Grandparents) are more affected by COVID-19.
