13. CNOR ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Licensed as a RN in the country where currently practicing
perioperative nursing
Completed a minimum of two years and 2,400 hours of
perioperative nursing practice in an administrative, teaching,
research, or general staff capacity
At least 50%, or 1,200 hours, must
be in the intraoperative setting
Must be currently working in a
perioperative nursing role either full
or part-time

• 200 multiple choice questions
• 3 hours and 45 minutes to complete the test
• Updated annually to reflect current perioperative guidelines
• Administered by an independent
testing company, Prometric
• May be taken Monday through
Saturday, excluding holidays,
at test centers nationwide
