  1. 1. Content Standard The learner demonstrates an understanding of the underlying principles in the preparation of carpentry tools and construction materials. Performance Standard The learner independently prepares carpentry tools and construction materials based on industry standards. Learning Competency and its Code LO 2. Request appropriate materials and tools 2.1. Fill out forms in requesting for carpentry tools and materials as required for a task (TLE_IACP7/8UT-0b-2) Key Concept In requesting the tools and materials accuracy and completeness rely on your submitted form. I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to: 1. determine the correct procedure in requesting carpentry tools and materials for a specific task; 2. relate the importance of filling up the requisition form accurately and completely to your daily tasks; and 3. dramatize on how to request carpentry tools and materials correctly in a specific task using the requisition form through a three-minute video dramatization. II. CONTENT REQUISITION PROCEDURE References Carpentry Grade 7/8 – Learner’s Module 1 page : 6 TLE (Carpentry) 7/8 – MELCS pages : 432-433 Resources Laptop, LED Television, Low-powered audio amplifier III. LEARNING PROCEDURES A. Preliminary Activities 1. Opening Prayer The teacher asks students to put themselves in the presence of God. Let’s have first an opening prayer. 2. Greetings The teacher greets the students with a pleasant morning and a nice day. The teacher encourages the students to enjoy watching and listening to this video lesson especially in the field of TLE – Carpentry. 3.Reminders The teacher reminds the students to stay at home, always sanitize their hands, always wear their facemask when going outside their house and maintain a one-meter social distancing in social places. The teacher asks those students having visually impaired to come closer to the monitor screen as well as those who have hearing difficulty to increase the volume level of the sound in their gadget. 4.Review Ask: Can you give me examples of carpentry tools, materials which can be found in your house? What are they? Examples are hammer, saw, chisel, plane, pull push rule, plywood, cement, nails, sand and gravel.   2. 2. 5.Statement of the Learning Objectives Ask the students to read the learning objectives. 6. Motivation The teacher shows a sample picture of a requisition form. Question:  What did you see on the picture? Activity 1: List Me! Ask: Write what are the information can you find on that picture. What is the purpose of all these information that you have mentioned? The teacher directs the learners to write their answers on a one whole sheet of paper for this activity 1. They are given three minutes to answer. 7.Unlocking of Difficulties Definition of Terms (ENGLISH)  Authorities – these refer to responsible persons in the company like purchaser, supply officer, manager or supervisor.  Requisitioner – a person who will be the one to request something and the one who will fill up the requisition form. B. Developmental Activities 1. Activity The teacher gives a particular situation related to a requisition procedure. Activity 2: Individual Activity SITUATION: Leonardo plans to build his own kitchen cabinet in his house. In order to successfully build his own kitchen cabinet, he needs the following necessary tools and materials which are not available at home. 1. 1 piece 7mm plywood @₱200 per piece 2. 6 pieces 2x1x20 lumber stick @₱120 per piece 3. 50 grams iron nails # 1.5 @₱70 per kilogram 4. 1 piece hammer @₱175 per piece 5. 1 piece crosscut saw @₱215 per piece Directions: Based on the given situation, what are you going to do regarding the problem in the given situation using the guide questions below. Use the sample document form for your listing. 1. What are your procedures in order to get those tools and materials for the successful building of the kitchen cabinet? 2. How did you get the total cost of materials and tools? MATH The teacher directs the learners to write their answers on a same one whole sheet of paper for this activity 2. They are given five minutes to answer. 2. Analysis Ask the following questions: 1. How is requisition form important in your given task in carpentry? 2. How will you develop a character needed in requesting carpentry tools and materials in your given task? ESP *The teacher gives feedback to the students and shares insights.

EVALUATION Directions: Determine the correct procedure in requesting carpentry tools and materials for a specific task in each of the following statements by writing TRUE if the statement is correct and FALSE if it is wrong. 1. Secure the approval of the police concerned. 2. Enumerate the materials with their description. 3. List the unit of materials to be requisitioned. 4. Write your name as borrower. 5. Write the number of unused materials. 6. Fill in the classification of the project and its purpose. 7. Approach the supply officer and demand all the materials needed. 8. State the name of the project and date when you requested for materials. 9. List the cost per unit and total cost. 10. Write the number of required materials. V. AGREEMENT/ASSIGNMENT Directions: 1. Write your own requisition using the form and ensure that all information or data are filled up with complete signatures of the authorities concerned on a short-sized bond paper.
