  2. 2. INTRODUCTION The BHARALU RIVER is a tributary of the Brahmaputra river in the Indian State of Assam. The Bharalu River originates in the khasi hills of Meghalaya and flows through the heart of Guwahati before it confluence with the Brahmaputra river. Bharalu river is one of the most polluted river in the state of Assam. Bharalu river carries a large portion of the guwahati city municipal waste. Bhorolu river serves as the natural drainage in guwahati and the river carries sewage and waste from markets, commercial establishment, hotels, restaurants ,school etc. the contaminated water and waste carried by bharalu river is also causing harm to the biodiversity.
  3. 3. OBJECTIVES 1. To create awareness among the people. 2. To know about the problems of people are facing from BHARALU RIVER . 3. To find the solution of the water pollution.

  7. 7. CONCLUSION From the above study I would like to include that the pollution of the BHARALU RIVER is increasing day by day. I would also like to mentioned the minimal development. In the sewage system of the guwahati but at the same time we have to accept it that it is a very serious issue that we all are facing. And we people have to take a serious steps towards it.
