  2. 2. Timing Is Everything Now, more than ever, the market is ripe for change – to be led by a visionary financial services company that is forward-looking and knows what consumers need and want before they know it themselves. World Financial Group is that company. 4

  8. 8. Our Passion: World Financial Group is committed to helping people make informed choices toward overcoming today’s challenges of: Staggering consumer debt – In 2008, studies show that as fewer Americans were able to tap into their home equity, more of them turned to high interest credit cards to make ends meet. According to the U.S. Federal Reserve, total credit card debt in America reached $951.7 billion in 2008- up 8.2% from the year before- the highest amount ever recorded.4 4 Christian E. Weller, “Drowning in Debt,” Center of American Progress, May 2006. 5 U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis, Gross Domestic Product and Corporate Outlays, Aug. 30, 2006. Domestic Product and Corporate Outlays, Aug. 30, 2006. Helping People Move Forward 10
  9. 9. Poor savings habits – A survey prepared for the U.S. National Foundation for Credit Counseling indicates while many Americans have spent less in 2009, due in large part to the economic downturn, that does not mean that they are saving more. Nearly a third of Americans have no savings outside retirement plans and one-third have not saved anything for retirement in past year.5 11 5 U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis, Gross Domestic Product and Corporate Outlays, Aug. 30, 2006. Domestic Product and Corporate Outlays, Aug. 30, 2006. Helping People Move Forward Our Passion:
  10. 10. Our Passion: Alarming lack of education about financial fundamentals – Only 42% of Americans surveyed by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) pay close attention to where their money goes average at best and only a few had attempted to enhance their understanding of how to manage their money.6 – The NFCC’s survey also found that less than a third of Americans know their credit scores. And although one free credit report is made available to them each year, 64% of Americans had not ordered their credit reports in the past year.6 6 Gregory Crawford and Vineeta Arnand, “Looming Pension Crisis Needs Creative Solutions,” Investment News, May 9, 2005. 7 Jack VanDerhei and John MacDonald, “Many Americans’ Retirement Hopes Are Filled with Holes,” 2006 Retirement Confidence Survey, Employee Benefit Research Institute, April 2006. Helping People Move Forward 12
  11. 11. Our Passion: 8 Acording to the American Bankruptcy Institute based on data from the National Bankruptcy Research Center, http://www.abiworld.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=/CM/ContentDisplay.cfm&CONTENTID=50271, January 3, 2008. 9 Jessica Bennett, “United We Owe: Plastic Predicament,” Newsweek, www.msnbc.msn.com, August 18, 2006. Helping People Move Forward Living dangerously above one’s means – U.S. non-business bankruptcy filings for the 12-month period ending June 30, 2009 totaled more than 1.2 million nationwide, an increase of 34% from the same time last year.7 The sharp rise has been attributed to a heavy consumer debt load made worse by the home mortgage crisis. 13
  12. 12. Our Passion: Insufficient insurance protection – Many U.S. households continue to be underinsured with one third of American adults carrying no life insurance at all.8 – Only 41% of adult Americans have individual life insurance. Many rely on insurance provided by their employers, leaving many employees without coverage if they were to lose or change their jobs.9 9 Jessica Bennett, “United We Owe: Plastic Predicament,” Newsweek, www.msnbc.msn.com, August 18, 2006. 14. 14. Financial Concepts  Develop a clear picture of where you want to go.  Set Goals.  Design a program to outpace inflation and reduce taxation. • Put the Rule of 7211 to Work for You • You can determine what kind of savings plan works best for you and your budget by using The Rule of 72 – dividing 72 by the interest rate to estimate the number of years it takes for your money to double. 11All figures are for illustrative purposes only and do not reflect an actual investment in any product. They do not reflect the performance risks, expenses or charges associated with any actual investment. Past performance is not an indication of future performances. The Rule of 72 is a mathematical concept that approximates the number of years it would take to double the principal at a constant rate of return. The performance of investments fluctuates over time, and as a result, the actual time it will take an investment to double in value cannot be predicted with any certainty. Additionally, there are no guarantees that any investment or savings program can outpace inflation. Please note that high risk has been historically associated with high returns.
  15. 15. The High Cost of Waiting 17 40 35 30 25 20 15 10 5 $286.45/mo. $13,609.73/mo. $5,466.09/mo. $2,889.85/mo. $1,697.73/mo. $1,051.50/mo. $670.98/mo. $435.94/mo. Years Until Retirement Time can be your worst enemy or your greatest ally. No matter where you are in life, the key to building an asset accumulation program is to begin saving now. The sooner you begin, the less money you will need to put aside to create solid savings for your future. The following is an example of monthly retirement savings required to reach a $1 million retirement goal with an interest rate of 8%, tax deferred.11 11 All figures are for illustrative purposes only and do not reflect an actual investment in any product. They do not reflect the performance risks, expenses or charges associated with any actual investment. Past performance is not an indication of future performance.
