Then the buyer company chooses the colors, designs and the material qualities of the product. Then the buyer company pays the advance payment to confirm the order. The delivery date is fixed by a discussion between the buyer company and Skytex industry. • After confirming the order, the Skytex industry takes initiatives to produce above 5% more of the ordered quantity of products so that after inspecting the defected products the industry still can be able to provide the full number of ordered products. • Usually the target of completing the production is couple of weeks prior to the delivery date so that if something goes wrong the industry can still alter the mistakes and make the delivery in due time. 23. Manufacturing of Product • Inquiry: In garments accessories business, usually the customers are other garments factories. The buyer company contacts with the Skytex industry. Then Skytex industry sends some samples to the buyer company to anticipate about the quality of the products. Then the buyer company chooses the colours, designs and the material qualities of the product. They also finish fixing product price in this process. • Payment: Then the buyer company pays the advance payment to confirm the order. The delivery date is fixed by a discussion between the buyer company and Skytex industry. • Production: After confirming the order, the Skytex industry takes initiatives to produce above 5% more of the ordered quantity of products so that after inspecting the defected products their industry still can be able to provide the full number of ordered products. • Delivery: Usually the target of completing the production is couple of weeks prior to the delivery date so that if something goes wrong the industry can still alter the mistakes and make the delivery in due time. Once the delivery date it met, Skytex supplies the products to the buyer company.
  24. Findings: • People were quite friendly and hospitable; they showed us around the factory and tried their best to explain things explicitly for our better understanding. • There are two shifts and the working time for every worker is 12 hours a day. As we talked to few workers personally, we found out that they were happy with their jobs. • They usually arrange both breakfast and lunch for their workers. • 53% of workers were aged 18 – 29 years old while the rest were aged 30 – 40 years old. Almost half (48%) of the workers were women. • Their garments accessories were of good quality. • The place was quite congested with the machines because they don’t have enough rooms and space to place their machines and the rooms were overstuffed with the garment’s accessories. • 70% of the machines were outdated. • The place was not quite crowded; a smaller number of workers was seen working. • They use the A- type raw materials.
  25. Recommendation  Working Environment and Machineries: they should make more space in every room by shifting the small machines to small rooms and big machines to big rooms and removing unnecessary stuffs. They should gradually replace the old machines with the upgraded ones. As a result, the procedure of making garments accessories will consume less time.  Working time: the working time is quite decent but few workers were seen sitting idle, so they should definitely keep their eyes on their workers during the working hour and make sure everything is done on time.
  26. Conclusion • Bangladesh has turned into a major source for garment accessories, the global buyers prefer some accessories from multinational companies on the grounds of quality, which Bangladesh has already. Small factories like Skytex will take time, money, and a combined effort on the part of many people to establish their companies to an international standard. Since there is more capacity than needed, accessories can be another big sector for export. The sub-sector of the clothing industry has made a great contribution to national exports, plus it helps the manufacturers reduce their lead time. Those days are not far away when Bangladesh will turn out to be the global leader in accessories export as it has already established international standard manufacturing factories.
