COMPANY BACKGROUND
ICDL was founded by Dr. Stanley Greenspan in 1997. ICDL’s
mission is to engage in, develop, conduct, support, and
disseminate programs, research, seminars, and publications
on the DIRFloortime® Model. The Developmental, Individual
Difference, Relationship-based (DIR®) Model is a framework
that helps clinicians, parents and educators conduct a
comprehensive assessment and develop an intervention
program tailored to the unique challenges and strengths of
children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other
developmental challenges. The objectives of the DIR® Model
are to build healthy foundations for social, emotional, and
intellectual capacities rather than focusing on skills and
isolated behaviors.
The organization has two purposes:
Integrate multi-disciplinary knowledge so as to improve
prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of
emotional and developmental disorders in infancy and
childhood.
Implement prevention and intervention activities at the
family, community, and policy level through a bio-
psycho-social (DIRFloortime®) model of human
development.
BUSINESS CHALLENGES
ICDL needed to replace its manual in-house solution
consisting of multiple spreadsheets and databases that were
relatively fragmented and extremely time consuming.

2. RESULTS
According to Merrill, ICDL’s successes with MyloTEAM is
largely due to the time saved by taking the effort formerly
invested in registration management and applying it to
continued programmatic assessment and development
allowing for continued growth of the organization.
Additionally, the reviews from its student community were
highly positive. “We used to have so many complaints about
our registration process. Since implementing this solution,
our students have repeatedly reported that the registration
process is so much easier and user friendly,” says Merrill.
Overall, the key benefits that ICDL realized immediately upon
launch include:
+ Moodle integration
+ Addition of Google Translate button
+ Customizable reporting
+ System generated emails
+ Ability to connect Certificates to course participants based
upon their attendance and course status
"ICDL is going through an exciting technology transition in our
business, and one of our main focuses has been on delivering
child development online trainings,” said Jeffrey J. Guenzel,
CEO at ICDL. "By offering us an online registration, payment
and administration platform that was risk-free, and easy to
deploy, Mylo freed us to focus our energies on launching our
new programs, content and supporting our students in their
registration, certification and reporting activities instead of
spending months working out a system flexible enough to
meet our needs."

SITUATION
ICDL needed an affordable, easy-to-use registration
management system that would allow it to readily track
student status within their program and that provided
integration and collaboration with learning platforms such as
Moodle and Blackboard.
According to Crystal Merrill, Assistant Director, Training
Programs at ICDL, the decision to adopt MyloTEAMTM
(Training & Events Administration and Management) from
Mylo Solutions, Inc. as the Training Management platform was
reached after several months of research into competing
products.
SOLUTION
In order to ensure successful implementation, Merrill and her
team collaborated closely with the Client Services team at
Mylo. Together, Mylo and ICDL developed a rapid, out-of-
the-box implementation plan with changes and
customizations as the solution evolved.
“The advice and guidance of Mylo’s sales and support staff
has been very critical in understanding how we can best use
this platform to achieve our goals within this solution,” says
Merrill. “Throughout our relationship since the Fall 2013, we
have always felt that Mylo has been committed to the success
of our endeavor and know that support and engineering as
well as administrative staff have gone out of their way to
ensure we have had the best experience possible.”
The top objectives for ICDL were to implement a cost
effective registration system, student tracking and
integration with the Moodle LMS. The ICDL team mapped the
manual business process easily into the automated workflows
and templates in Mylo to prepare for the big bang launch.
Ultimately, says Merrill, the goal was to amend the business
process and remove the manual process that existed
previously.
The integration with the Moodle LMS and the Payment
Gateways was easy and implemented with very little effort
and required no training from Mylo.
This rapid implementation and tease of use supported user
adoption across the organization including sign offs by the
executive management to go live. “MyloTEAM was launched
in weeks, not months and now just two administrators are
running the programs for DIRFloortime Training and ICDL
Graduate School, all on one platform,” says Merrill.
