TRAIL LAUNCHES JOBSCOUT PLATFORM
IN SPANISH AT TECHCRUNCH DISRUPT
New Platform Built to Meet the Needs of the Latino Market Now Available
San Francisco, CA –To help Spanish-speaking jobseekers, TRAIL is launching JobScout in
Spanish today.. This afternoon, JobScout’s Chief Executive Officer, Christina Gagnier, will be officially
be announcing the launch of the JobScout platform in Spanish on the TechCrunchDisrupt stage in San
Francisco.
JobScout, the web and mobile tool designed to teach people how to use the Internet effectively
to find work, is launching its platform in Spanish. With job resources having moved online, looking for a
job has become difficult for many people. With few job resources available in Spanish, this process has
become particularly difficult for Spanish speaking jobseekers. JobScout’s is the first comprehensive
online tool designed to teach Spanish-speaking job seekers digital literacy skills and help them find
work. JobScout’s Spanish version can be accessed 24/7 online at www.myjobscout.org/es
(www.myjobscout.co/es?) and assistance getting started can be found at public library branches across
California.
JobScout’s emphasizes the importance of launching the job skills platform in Spanish,“We’re
passionate about finding users, which for us, translates to giving people meaningful tools to find work,”
said Paul Jackson, JobScout’s Spanish Language Director. “OurSpanish-language platform offers
something for everyone. Whether our users are new to the Internet or just need to make a resume and
find job listings, JobScout is an excellent resource for jobseekers.”
JobScout is pretty simple: Users take lessons, earn badges for those lessons and learn how to
use simple tools to find work online. If you just want to learn or brush up on your Internet skills or need a
hand finding a job, JobScout has a collection of nearly 40 lessons and a collection of tools that will help
you on your way.
2. JobScout helps to level the playing field for people by taking the guesswork out of finding
employment. It is a low-cost, self-guided education tool that is perfect for users who want to make the
job search process more effective and useful for institutions who want to provide job search and
education resources.
