Specific Objectives
1. To develop the skills of learning and living to:
(Communication, Inquiry, Learning accomplishment, Problem-

(Self-reliant, Responsible for personal and group actions, individual
and group rights, personal identity, help society being productive)
3. To provide the knowledge require for satisfaction and as a basic for
further education to:
(Awareness of non-living and living factors in surrounding, help
people in arts and technology, useful for community, understanding
of nation, culture, history and way of life)
11. Aims and Objectives of Education for
preparing Practicing Muslims and for creating
Islamic Social Welfare State
• To make Quranic principles and Islamic practices as
integral part of curriculum.
• To ensure all boys and girls basic rights of availability of
schools.
• To develop opportunities of technical and vocational

• To improve the quality of technical education to enhance
chances of employment in technical fields
12. Secondary Education in Pakistan
• Education in Pakistan is overseen by the Federal
Ministry of Education and the provincial governments.
• Federal government assists in curriculum development,
accreditation and in the financing of R & D.
• Article 25-A “The State shall provide free and
compulsory education to all children of the age of five to
sixteen years in such a manner as may be determined by
law”.
13. Secondary Education in Pakistan….
• Begins from grade 9 and lasts for four years.
• National examination administered by (BISE).
• Awarded a Secondary School Certificate (SSC) after 10th.
• Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) after 12th.
• Curriculum includes Eight courses including electives and
compulsory subjects.
• SSC and HSSC are replaced by Ordinary (O-Level) and
Advance (A-Level) respectively.
14. Secondary Education in Pakistan…..
“Technical Education”
• The vocational curriculum starts at grade 5 and ends on grade 10.
• Three Technical Boards
• Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE),
• KPK Board of Technical Education (KPK BTE) and
• Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) offering Matric Tech. course
(equivalent to 10th grade)
• Diploma in Associate Engineering (DAE) in technologies like Civil, Chemical,
Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer and many more
(three years program equivalent to 12th)
• They can join their respective field or can take admission in B. Tech. or BE in
their related technology after DAE.
16. Scheme of Studies for Secondary
School Examination
A+=90% & above, A=80%, B=70%, C=60%, D=50%, F=Fail=below 50%.
These grades will be mentioned on certificates issued by the Board.
17. Scheme of Studies for Higher
Secondary School Examination
Pre Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Medical Technology, and Home Economics
Groups are also offered.
