INTRODUCTION
• Every fifteen years or so, the IT industry has witnessed
new innovations in computing which have changed the way
IT services are delivered to the business and end
users.Mainly Their Use to be Four waves in the IT
industry (Mainframe Era ,Miniframe Era,Personal
Computers and Internet Era) .
• In Today's World we are living in new wave generated
by the IT industry i.e Social ,Mobile ,Analytics
,Cloud (SMAC) known as the 5th wave of the
IT industry .
• Social media has provided with new ways to reach and
interact with customers (eg:-Facebook ,Twitter) and solve
their problems in most efficient manner while Mobile
technologies have changed the way of people
communication .shopping and work (eg:-Smartphones
,Tablets).Analytics allow businesses to understand how
,when and where people consume certain goods and
services(eg:-when we purchase something online through
various sites and give them ratings it increases their
market value).and Cloud Computing allow centralized data
storage and online access to computer services(eg:Email)

>SMAC has made a wide impact on the IT industry .Now role of Chief
Information officer(CIO) in many organizations is changing from that of an
engineer operating IT as the engine room to that of a pioneer helping the C-suit
make IT an actual part of the business.
> SMAC originated around 2010 and a survey conducted by
Cognizant ,IDC,Unisys shows that it has 10 of billions of
computer,Millions of appilications and Billions of Users all over
the world in just in just 5 years of time.
>SMAC may be called as "Digital industry revolution " which has changed the livings
of people .
>Now Mobile device manufacturers are modernizing the remote monitoring
process and minimizing office visits for both patients and clinicians.By allowing
cloud based mobility services that deliver full PDF reports via their ipad or
smartphones .
>One of the biggest mobile manufacturers of the world i.e APPLE is using Cloud
storage in their Iphones and other devices to store data ,files.

• Facebook has owned 21.7% of worldwide Mobile internet ad revenue by 2014.
> By 2014 about 60% of current small to medium business are using cloud services
>92% market advertise on Facebook.
>Google the internet giant has the highest Average Revenue Per User (ARPU)
which is 6X higher than any other site
>21 Billion SMSs are sent daily.
>Usage of Mobiles is increasing day by day and we spent 2h 43 min per day on
mobiles,smartphones ,tablets.
>Applications continue to dominate the mobile web and we spend 86% of our
time on different types of Applications.

.Mobile data increased by 81% since 2013
and will grow 10X by 2019
.74% of all internet traffic will be video by
2017
.We have seen the arrival of 4G services in the world
and by 2020 we wil see 5G implemented and we
will see paek data speeds of 1Gbps.
.Biometric Security will increase and Fujitsu has
already started rolling out fingerprint based
Biometric Security.
>Platform-as-a-service (PaaS) of cloud
computing will exapnd from from $3.7
billion to $14 bilion by 2017
>Social commerce sales are forcasted to
represent 5% of all online retail revenue
by 2016.

AREAS OF INTEREST
• I have chosen SMAC as a topic of my presentation beacuse SMAC has
created wide opportunities for everyone.I would like to work in Social
and Mobile technologies as both of these have wide applications for the
upcoming future. In Today's Modern Era of IT industry everything is
going on Mobiles .
• I have heard a lot about this internship and If given an internship it
would my golden opportunity and i would like to work as an mobile
software developer which will develop the most advanced mobile
security software for the smartphones which can save our mobiles from
all the theft beacuse security is increasing day by day and our
smartphones are not recorved easily once it is stolen. It will prove as a
catalyst in the area of security and our smartphones will be saved from
all the thefts.
