31. We believe that the Scripture, as
originally written, were God-breathed,
both verbally and in every part.
It is infallible, inerrant and the final
authority of our faith and practice.
32. We believe in one God, existing
eternally in three distinct persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, co-equal
and coeternal. Neither blending their
persons nor dividing their essence.
33. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ,
God's Son, was conceived by the Holy
Spirit and born of a virgin, truly God
and truly Man. By His perfect life,
substitutionary death and glorious
resurrection, He secured our eternal
salvation.
34. He is now seated at the right hand of
the Father, interceding for His church,
and is coming again to bring His
people to glory and usher them to His
eternal kingdom.
35. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a
divine Person, equal with the Father
and the Son and of the same nature.
He indwells believers, bears witness
to the truth, convicts of sin, and is the
earnest of our salvation.
36. We believe man was created by a
direct act of God and not from a
previously existing form of life. By
voluntary transgression he fell from
his state of innocence; Consequently,
all men are now sinners by nature and
by choice.
37. We believe salvation of sinners is
divinely initiated, wholly of grace,
accomplished only through the
mediatorial work of the Son of God
and eternally secure. It is not of works
or religion.
38. We believe in the local church and the
universal church which is the body of
Jesus Christ and the physical
manifestation of His kingdom until He
comes again.
39. We believe water baptism is the single
immersion of a believer in water in the
name of the Father, Son and Holy
Spirit, to show his identification with
Christ in His death, burial and
resurrection. It can do nothing for His
salvation.
40. We believe that the Lord’s Supper is
the commemoration of His death until
He comes.
41. We believe in the bodily resurrection
of the just and the unjust. Believers by
faith in Christ will spend eternity in the
presence of God, unbelievers in
everlasting punishment.
42. We believe that every believer should
be separated to God and from
worldliness and by the aid of the Holy
Spirit should walk in Christian love
and holiness
43. We believe that Jesus Christ
commands His church to make
disciples to every nation.
44. We believe that the greatest thing man
can do for himself is to love God
above all, and the greatest thing he
can do to others is to show them how
to love God above all.
49. O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer
Greatest treasure of my longing soul
My God, like You there is no other
True delight is found in You alone
50. Your grace, a well too deep to fathom
Your love exceeds the heaven's reach
Your truth, a fount of perfect wisdom
My highest good and my unending need
51. O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer
Strong defender of my weary heart
My sword to fight the cruel deceiver
And my shield against his hateful darts
52. My song, when enemies surround me
My hope, when tides of sorrow rise
My joy, when trials are abounding
Your faithfulness, my refuge in the night
53. O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer
Gracious Savior of my ruined life
My guilt and cross laid on Your shoulders
In my place You suffered bled and died
54. You rose, the grave and death are conquered
You broke my bonds of sin and shame
You rose, the grave and death are conquered
You broke my bonds of sin and shame
55. O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer
May all my days bring glory to Your Name
May all my days bring glory to Your Name
74. Day by day and with each passing moment,
Strength I find to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment,
I've no cause for worry or for fear.
75. He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what he deems best–
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.
76. Ev'ry day the Lord himself is near me,
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares he gladly bears and cheers me,
He whose name is Counselor and Pow'r.
77. The protection of his child and treasure
Is a charge that on himself he laid:
"As your days, your strength shall be in
measure"–
This the pledge to me he made.
78. Help me then in ev'ry tribulation
So to trust your promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith's sweet consolation
Offered me within your holy Word.
79. Help me, Lord, when, toil and trouble meeting,
E'er to take, as from a father's hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till I reach the promised land.
