12. Active Vibration Control based on Optimal Location Piezo-Patches in Structure
using LQR-MOPSO
Abstract
A continuous system is generally a model stimulated by using structure geometry, boundary conditions, initial values,
and its application in different industries including automotive, aerospace, etc. A structure vibration can be generally
considered as a destructive agent in reducing the life of the structure. Therefore, in recent decades engineers were
encouraged to analyze modeled systems so that the system would be deployed with greater reliability and lifetime. This
study attempted to analyze thin cantilever beam in terms of vibration through finite element method and conduct active
vibration control using piezoelectric sensor and actuator, LQR controller, and Multiobjective Particle Swarm
Optimization (MOPSO) algorithm optimization method.
