• Researched, planned and authored 15,000 word dissertation on why different
countries have different views in either acknowledging or denying the Armenian
Genocide. The politics of genocide is very little about the actual facts of the
genocide and more about the diplomatic relations the countries have within the
international realm. I managed deadlines, liaised with the dissertation tutor and
developed analytical and research skills
• Explored topics on war, interventionism, human rights and sovereignty as well as
global poverty, inequality and the impact of globalization on the world
2. • Critically assessed the extent to which western interests, institutions and culture
dominate the world system, and the responses and challenges which are generated
from that dominance
Employment
Deloitte (Project PBA Barclays)-Graduate Case Handler, May 2015-onwards
My job role working for one of the ‘Big Four’ companies in the world is that of a Graduate
Case Handler. I was a part of dynamic large scale operation in the financial services
industry. I was working as part of a high-quality team helping a major UK bank to resolve
complaints relating to products they’ve sold. I undertook in depth investigation, relating to
customer complaints working to internal and external deadlines. During case reviews, i
liaised with customers and external parties via various media (e.g. written, telephone),
ensuring a complete record of all information gathered was maintained on wide range of
systems; weigh up all relevant evidence in line with current guidance and procedures;
produce a written response for the customer ensuring a high standard of communication is
achieved at all times. My role enabled me the ability to break down complex issues,
assimilate & analyse information and reach a conclusion. I was responsible for managing
my own case load in a fast paced environment; getting involved in the resolution of
banking cases, through research and analysis, and providing final reports detailing my
investigations and conclusions in line with authorisation levels achieved using relevant
software to provide a full audit trail for the client and the industry regulator.
Dune Group-Sales Advisor, Feb 2015-onwards
I’ve been working part time at Dune as a sales advisor and merchandiser. I made the most
of this opportunity by making sure I gained commercial awareness by first hand
observation of how business decisions were made, as well as personal initiative by
maintaining cash and stock levels.
My role of a sales advisor consists of providing excellent, knowledgeable customer care to
maximize sales; welcome customers promptly and warmly; be aware of current promotions
and targets to be able to promote at all opportunities. I was also responsible for delegating
daily duties to my team of sales advisors within the department and for overseeing day to
day running of department. I was expected to monitor stock levels; create product
displays; manage effective use of time and balance priorities and work flexibly to meet the
needs of the business. I developed more of an understanding of IT systems, handling
computerized tills and stock ordering systems. This role utilized my reporting, managerial
and customer service skills on a daily basis.

Achievements
3. Victim Support-Volunteer, 2009-2013
I was involved with the charity, Victim Support, as a volunteer. My role enabled me to
support victims of any crime within the community, by listening to their concerns and
working with other agencies to make sure their needs are met. Tasks included face-to-face
meetings or support given via telephone, monitoring the victim’s progress and identifying
steps that will help them on move towards recovery. I received specialized training which
helped me gain skills and qualities to understand and evaluate complex issues with
professionalism, tact, sensitivity and integrity. I have the ability to critically empathize with
colleagues and service users from different backgrounds, ensuring their needs are met.
Ujamma Hostel-Volunteer, 2011
After finishing my graduate degree, I visited Tanzania for three months to volunteer for a
local charity, Ujamma Hostel. I was fortunate enough to volunteer for a variety of
development programmes which included teaching at a local school and helping at an
orphanage. The experience enabled me to work with a range of different people from all
around the world and gave me first hand experience in making a difference and dealing
with International Development.
My duties within the school consisted of assisting the local teachers with planning,
preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes; marking work and giving
appropriate feedback as well as maintaining records of students progress and
development. One of the biggest achievements of this experience was the school taking
on board my suggestion of the literacy programme, which consisted of helping struggling
children to learn to read, by giving them extra attention and helping them improve their
reading skills. I began to run after school classes, as a trial, but with its huge success, the
head teacher of the school decided to integrate the programme as part of its curriculum, to
help increase education standards in poor towns and rural areas.
Fundraiser
I co-ordinated fundraising activities to help raise money for Ujamma Hostel and the
number of programmes they lead. This included using a variety of fundraising techniques
including digital fundraising and community events. The large amount of money raised
went towards the school, buying basic facilities for the children, such as textbooks
stationary and sports equipment.
