A retreat is an opportunity to step
away from the treadmill of daily
life and rediscover your natural
rhythm.
It is a chance to give your heart the
silent gifts of inner peace and
inner power, so that it may
understand and respond to a
changing world with greater
wisdom and compassion.
It is a time to build the inner
strength not to get sucked in and
drained by the dramas of others.
It is almost a necessity in order to
clean and sharpen the two most
important tools in your life, your
mind and your intellect.
Awareness Retreats are carefully
designed to nourish and enlighten
while providing rest and renewal at
physical, mental and spiritual levels.
While there is always plenty of food
for thought, this is balanced by deep
time in solitude and silence, where
the authentic 'you' can be
rediscovered and allowed to
remember and realise what you
already know.
The outcome is the restoration of
true self awareness and an ability to
reach beyond the self, to be fully
present and available, so that others
may do the same.

Dates, Locations and Costs
"When true self awareness is recovered the struggle ends and your peace
and humility are restored. You see the utter beauty of the underlying
harmony which lies behind your illusions of chaos. You smile the smile of
enlightenment, and go about your life quietly, earnestly and knowingly!"
From IQ to EQ to SQ
“In the simplest terms enlightenment means to awaken, rediscover and
realise what is TRUE both in an absolute and a relative sense. It is to
go behind appearances and beyond the learned beliefs you have
assimilated. Truth is that which never changes, and that which never
changes is all you can be certain of. Rediscovering the ‘truth’ for your
self, and translating it’s certainty into everyday life, becomes the daily
practice of a consciously awakening being.
It is a practice which sustains your awakening process and it can also
trigger an awakening in others.”

OPENING THE EYE OF
SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE
While academic success is
based on IQ (rational
intelligence), interpersonal
success is based on EQ
(emotional intelligence), but
living a contented and
fulfilling life is based
on SQ (spiritual
intelligence).
Most of us will live
rational and
reasonable lives. Some
of us will learn how to fully
understand our own feelings
and the feelings of others. But
only a few of us will open our
third eye and see things as they
truly are. This can be likened
to awakening from a dream
state where you realise you
have been asleep and
'dreamed' a nightmare which
you believed was real.
It's as if you switch on a light
and see, perhaps for the first
time, who and what you are,
where you are and what you
are here to do. Spiritual
Spiritual intelligence is
the ability to keep the
‘light on’, stay awake
and aware, and sustain
the process of
illumination.
During this weekend we will
clarify the relationship
between IQ and EQ and SQ,
look at life through the eye of
spiritual intelligence and start
to cultivate ways to keep our
eye peeled!
2. Discover the true nature
of self awareness…
… and what it means to be enlightened… and what it means to be enlightened
Enlightenment is the progressive
realisation of what is true for you, which
is a personal process that ultimately
restores the trueness of your being
which, paradoxically, is always there!
The purpose of this weekend retreat is
to embark on a gentle but deep
exploration of your true nature, cultivate
greater clarity and create a more
enlightened state of being.
During four sessions you will have the
opportunity to:
• become the master and commander of
your awareness
• cultivate greater clarity about what and
why you think and feel the way you do
• understand the pathway from
ignorance to enlightenment
• discern the vital difference between
belief and truth
• glimpse the beauty of invisible laws of
consciousness and precisely how they
affect our life
• understand the causes and
consequences of all emotions
• realise your 'double purpose' and
how to make meaning in everyday
life
• practice using meditation/
reflection to restore self mastery,
write and direct you own life script,
and sustain a consistent level of
contentment regardless of your
circumstances or situation
Saturday: Session One - 9.30am - 12.30pm
Breakdown and Seeing
Understanding the Many Faces of EGO
The beginning of any inner exploration and understanding is always the true
‘identity’ and nature of the self. This is also where the ego is born. All obstacles
to 'waking up', and every barrier to change within individuals and
organizations, can be traced to our faithful companion - the ego! This first
session focuses on how to recognise the relationship between identity and ego;
how to identify the many deep and subtle faces of ego; how to cultivate a true
awareness of the self and hear the authentic voice of the I that says “I AM”
Saturday: Session Two - 4pm to 6.30pm
Breaking Up the Old Patterns
Putting Emotions in Their Place
In a world that often seems to run on the fuel of emotion how are we to
understand the place of emotion in our life. What is emotion? What is the
difference between emotions and feelings, and what is the relationship between
emotion and ego? Do we manage them, suppress them, express them, or just let
them all hang out whenever, with whoever? And what do they do to our self
awareness? These are important questions both for ourselves and for those
around us at home and at work.
Sunday: Session Three – 9.30am to 12.30pm
Breakthrough to Being
Awakening Awareness of the Laws of Spirit
There are eternal, immutable and invisible spiritual laws which define how our
universe works. We each have an innate awareness of these laws but we lose
contact with this awareness. These laws cannot be broken, but we attempt to
break them. Together, we will identify seven of the core spiritual laws;
understand why they are the basis for harmony and well being; what we do in
our attempt to break them; how to align our actions with these laws so that
balance and harmony is maintained in our life.
The Style
The approach of this weekend retreat is reflective, introspective and non-confrontational, allowing participants to make their own inner discoveries
and realisations at their own pace. Sessions are focused and balanced by a mix of reflection, meditation, presentation, interaction and discussion.
Meditation and silence are the invisible threads which tie it all together.
Sunday: Session Four - 2pm to 4pm
Breakout to Doing
Finding True Purpose
A life without purpose is a life without meaning, and a life without meaning is
not living. We are creators of meaning, but only when we live our purpose.
Once our consciousness is liberated from ego, and we have developed an
awareness of the eternal laws of life, can we then accurately discern both inner
and outer purpose. In this final session we will reflect deeply on what we are
here to do; turn our purpose into the 'red thread' which connects and aligns
every area of our life; and finally, how to invest our purpose with real enthusiasm.

We'll Take Time Out in Silence
The value of any retreat is enhanced by time in
silence. Periods of silence give us the
opportunity to hear our own innate wisdom
and restore deep inner peace. Time in silence is
also a time to walk, breath and connect to the
rhythms of nature.
Following the Retreat
While the retreat is a complete experience in itself, the process of learning and
unlearning takes time, sustained intention and regular attention. “What do I do
next?” is so often the challenge following such events. A number of books
and a regular e-article are offered to participants in order to refresh the
insights, provide relevant exercises and simple practices to continue to deepen the
realisations and practices of the retreat.
Nothing is compulsory but everything is of value.
