Work Experience

Lead Technology Developer  WeatherBELL Analytics  New York, NY Sep 2012 to Current
● Reverse engineered a poorlycommented custom PHP CMS to provide support, upgrades, and new features to a large corporate
website.
● Set up a development server with a Git repository and created various Git hooks to facilitate smooth deployment from
development to staging to production.
● Combined multiple websites with different content management systems into a single website with multiple subdomains,
managed by a single custom CMS.
● Significantly enhanced recurring subscription workflow through Authorize.NET’s PHP SDK.
● Created web app for energy traders using Python, PHP, D3.js, and jQuery. The app downloads, parses, transforms, and displays
data from multiple weather models on a perstate and perregion basis in userfriendly and visually appealing manner. The data
can be exported in CSV, PDF, PNG, and SVG formats.
● Created a “weather dashboard” app for agriculture clients using PHP, MySQL, CoffeeScript, jQuery, D3.js, Gridster.js, and
Bootstrap. The app allows users to create, modify, save, and load multiple “profiles” (views). Each profile can contain multiple
interactive data “widgets” which display a chart or image of (near) realtime data. The widgets can be selected, moved, resized,
expanded, cloned, deleted, and customized. The administrative end of this app is integrated into a custom CMS and allows
nonprogrammers to control the available data options on a perclient and persubscriptiontype basis.
● Used GDAL (Geospatial Data Abstraction Library) to georeference, reproject, and create OGCcompliant map tiles from
meteorological imagery. Afterwards I created a google maps v3 extension to animate the map tiles and control playback.
● Created a novel and effective semiautomated system to monitor and prevent trialaccount exploitation.

Lead Programmer – FFK International – New York, NY  June 2011 to June 2012
● Conceptualized, designed, and programmed a patternrecognition/unsupervised learning system for a managed investment
company using R, MQL4, MySQL and Lazarus (FreePascal).

Backend Programmer – BidOnTheCity.com – New York, NY  Dec 2010 to April 2011
● Used a wide variety of techniques and tools in the development and unit testing of software applications, including: object
oriented programming languages and software tools, analysis and design techniques, data base management systems, middleware and
data access and retrieval programs.
