To compound the understanding of elite
sports systems and be able to apply
knowledge to evaluate the pro’s and
cons of each and develop and elite
pathway for sport and talent within the
UAE.
Assess it:
 Students to peer assess their essays from last lesson
using the mark scheme and give each other a grade
based on the criteria for assessment.
Evaluate it:
 Students discuss to evaluate the pro’s and con’s of
historical elite sports systems.
Apply it:
 Using all the knowledge gained, working as ‘UAE
Sports Federation’ devise a structure for managing
elite sport within the UAE. Draw on the positives of
each system.
