4. Restmaterialen, plastic afval, en kleine prulla-
ria: allemaal dingen die we hebben, weg-
gooien of bewaren en uiteindekijk toch weg-
gooien. Zie hier het materiaal waarmee ik
voornamelijk werk; hergebruik van het
onbruikbare en overbodige. Het worden
objecten waarin de gebruikte voorwerpen zijn
vervreemd. Het nodigt uit tot kijken en fantase-
ren. Bij de objecten geen uitgebreide uitleg,
alleen namen en afmetingen. Desgewenst kan
ik uitleggen en achtergrond geven. Belangrijk
is je eigen interpretatie, je eigen beleving.
Leftover materials, plastic waste and small
knickknacks; things we all have, throw away or
save and dispose after all anyway. These are the
materials I mainly work with. Reusing the use-
less and dispensable. They become objects in
which the goods used alienate. It invites you to
observe and fantasise. There are no explanati-
ons with the objects, just names and measure-
ments. If wanted I can provide you with expla-
nations and backgrounds. Your own interpreta-
tion and perception is what’s important.

74 wijnstokken met een
lengte van ongeveer 55
cm elk, gedroogd en van
schors ontdaan. De
scheuren die zijn
ontstaan bij het drogen
zijn hoogglans rood
gelakt.
Voor de te realiseren
installatie worden de
stokken bovenin voor-
zien van een gaatje. De
stokken worden dan aan
een staalkabel geregen.
De kabel wordt over een
lengte van 15 meter
tussen twee punten
gespannen op een
hoogte van 210 cm.
Door de grillige vorm
van de stokken waaieren
die naar links en recht
uit. Hierdoor ontstaat
een onregelmatige
meanderende lijn.
74 vines with a length of
about 55 cm each, dried
and bark-free. The cracks
which appeared in the
process of drying are
high gloss red lacquered.
For the installation to
be realised a small hole
will be drilled in the top
of each vine. The vines
are then strung on a steel
cable. The cable will be
tensioned between two
fixed points over a length
of 15 meters at a hight of
210 cm.
By the capricious
shape of the vines
fanning out to the left
and right, a whimsical
meandering line is crea-
ted.

Verhalen vertellen is spannend. Als ont-
werpers vertellen we tastbaar, in verschil-
lende dimensies, met en zonder woorden.
Ieder verhaal heeft z’n eigen vorm, materie
en kleur. Om een goed verhaal te maken,
integreren we het ontwerpproces met
serendipiteit. Dat betekent o.a. dat er in
samenspraak met u, voor u, een verras-
sende, vaak onverwachte vertelling ont-
staat. Dat is een leuk en bijzonder pad.
Hiernaast staan kleine stukjes van verha-
len. Voor hele verhalen is er te weinig
ruimte. Maar het is toch weer een korte
vertelling over het plezier dat we in ont-
werpen hebben. Er is nog veel meer te
vertellen. Bijvoorbeeld over hoe we voor u
een bijzonder verhaal kunnen maken. Voor

Storytelling is exciting. As designers we tell
tangible stories in various dimensions, with
and without words. Every narrative has its
own shape, matter and colour. In order to
create a good story, we integrate the
design process and serendipity. This
means; amongst other things, that in a
dialogue with you we create a surprising
and often unexpected tale. This is an enjoy-
able and rather special path.
Here you see some small pieces of
various stories; there just isn’t enough
space for complete narratives. However
within itself it’s a short story about the
pleasure we take in design. There’s a lot
more to tell. For example about how we
