that you learned from your presentation research and
why?
• Technology now a days are destroying the mind
• Technology is not making us smarter
• Now a days people are born into technology, well back than people were born
beside technology
• The negative affects on technology are obesity, depression, increase in bullying,
and additions
4. Obesity
• People are lacking the physical
active do to staying inside on their
electronic more.
• Making people becoming less
actives and also picking unhealthy
lifestyle
• “Obesity, for example, climbed from
a 3.4 per cent prevalence if there
were no devices in the home, to 14.5
per cent for three devices”
5. Depression
• Excess Internet is link into depression
• Teenagers who are addicted to the Internet are more likely to develop depression
or other psychiatric problems than teens who are classified as normal Internet
users
• I have found it interesting that technology is affecting depression due to
spending too much time on Internet, also people who feel alone are the one who
seek out onto the Internet

Bullying Statistics
• About 42 percent of kids have been bullied while online
with one in four being verbally attacked more than once.
• About 35 percent of kids have been threatened online.
• About 58 percent of kids and teens have reported that
something mean has been said about them or to them
online.
• Other bullying statistics show that about 77 percent of
students have admitted to being the victim of one type
of bullying or another.
• 46 percent of males followed by 26 percent of females
have admitted to being victims in physical fights as
reported in one report of bullying statistics by the
Bureau of Justice School
• I have found these statistics
interesting how bullying now a days
are affected by the Internet
7. Additions
• Spending too much time on technology can lead to additions
• When not wanting to take a break or disconnect from the virtual world can lead
to being too dependant on technology
• Studies has been shown that when cellphone were taken away people still feels
the need to reach out for it, felt vibration, and felt restless.
• With these studies it had show symptoms of withdrawal that you would expect
when being on a drug.

• When looking into Sociological Theory: Symbolic Interactionism
Symbolic Interactionism:
• Focuses on the individual level and subjective aspect of social life
• Behaviour and attitudes depend upon how individuals perceive, define, or
construct their social world.
• Identity is shaped by social interaction
• Symbolic Interactionism the way people behavior in a social way by
communication. Now a days technology is helping us with communication, but
can also give us disadvantage with communication.

realistic solution to your social issue?
• Problems with Technology were and the solution for these issuess:
• Obesity
• Depression
• Increase of Bullying
• Addictions
10. Obesity
• To prevent obesity and maintain a healthy body weight, eat a well-balanced diet
and exercise regularly
• When becoming obesity fro technology here are some tips to help:
• Start making a diet plan
• Eating healthy
• Limit time spending on televisions, laptops and video games
• Start getting into exercises
11. Depression
• Here are some tips to help prevent depression:
• Stay active
• Stay connected
• Find a person who you can speak to for help
• Join support groups
• Take time to go out and have some fun
• Take time to go out and relax

• Bullying have increase with the help of technology if you are experience any here

• Call to speak to a person to get help
• Talk to someone who is able to help
• Talk with a teacher or a parent
• Try to get the issues solve instead of letting it go on, and not solving the issues

• Being too attach to technology can causes lots of issues here are tips to help:
• Choose to do outdoor actives instead of picking technology
• Limit social media usage
• Try to keep yourself busy by joining clubs, doing projects, and spending time with
family and friends

you think you could have improved on? How so?
• For this overall course I did well on the Journals, due to the grades and I also
enjoy writing and learning about the topics we were suppose to write about
• I should improve on the testes, I think I did bad them, to improve on the testes I
should take more time into studying the material than rushing to do the test.
15. Conclusions
• Technology can disorder the mind, body and community
• Mind is affected by technology due to how we are constantly using it and it
affected our brain by having more impact to us
• Body is affected by technology due to if we spend too much time we lack the
physical active, which does damage to our bodies
• Community is affected due to cyber bullying now plays a big role in lots of society
• Overall, technology is use in a negative way, but if we use it in a positive manner
technology can also be helpful as well
