scale by film industries

audience as this is a popular film preference
3. What is a niche audience?

traits that not many other people have
These are small scale interests/ traits
These are either targeted specifically or not at all due to lack
of demand

are a niche market due to a small amount of interest.
4. Niche audiences in horror
Most horror films are niche markets because they come under
huge number of sub-genres.
This means that there is a type of horror for everyone's needs or
preferences
Horrors are a niche market because everyone is scared by
different things
For example: one person may be scared of gore so slasher films
will appeal to them and another may be scared of a home
invasion so they will watch home invasion films.
5. Sub genres of horror and their
audiences
Slasher: These will be people who are scared of blood and
guts, instead of being disgusted by them. These will tend to
be a younger audience due to this.
Home invasion: These will be enjoyed by people who like
films to be relatable. Since these are set in the home it can
relate to most people
Creepy kid: These will be enjoyed by people who have kids
or see children on a regular basis. This again will make the
film more relatable as will play on their minds.
